2021 Cadillac XT4 Overview

The 2021 Cadillac XT4 is a subcompact luxury crossover. It has a spacious cabin for the class and includes a long list of standard features. The XT4 was first introduced for the 2019 model year. In 2020, it gained several driver-assistance features as standard equipment, and it carries over to the 2021 model year unchanged. The XT4’s crossover hatchback layout opens up to 22.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the 60/40 split-fold rear seats. With the rear seats folded, cargo space grows to 48.9 cubic feet.

Trims for the 2021 XT4 are Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The Luxury trim comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, remote start, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 6-way power-adjustable front-passenger seat, dual-zone climate control, and a seven-speaker stereo. It also comes standard with the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system. This includes an 8-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Premium Luxury trim adds several driver-assistance features, a hands-free power liftgate, and opens up the ability to select additional options packages. The Sport trim adds a number of unique interior and exterior styling elements, as well as upgraded front seats with bolsters and lumbar adjustment. Options on the XT4 include wireless device charging, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system.

No matter which trim you select, the XT4 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels or all four. The front-wheel-drive (FWD) XT4 returns an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) XT4 returns 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

The XT4 comes equipped with safety features such as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear parking sensors. It also comes with the Safety Alert Seat and the Teen Driver system, which allows owners to set speed and volume limits for the second set of keys. Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, front-and-rear parking sensors, and a head-up display, to name a few.

Base MSRP for the 2021 Cadillac XT4 is $35,795. The Premium Luxury trim starts at $39,795, and the range-topping Sport starts at $39,995. The XT4 is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
