    2017 Ford Explorer is a well put together vehicle. Nicely appointed interior, even on the XLT model. Very fast engine, quick off the line and easy entering freeways. Fun to drive, functional utility for various jobs, and economical.

    The adaptive cruise control, big LCD screen, nice interior, and parking sensors are good features. There is plenty of horsepower in the sports model. The only thing the car is missing is lane and parking assist. Watch out for the roof rail covers as they are known to fly off. The vehicle is still worth it to me.

    We looked a 5 different 2017s and found that they were all priced around 28K but you really have to look at the original window sticker to make sure you get all the options you want. We found one with all the options we wanted - V6 engine, 202A Comfort Package, 6 speed trans, blind spot censers and no moon roof. With 45K on it we opted for a 5/60K extend warranty with Ford so we are good to go until 105K with out anything major going out. Had it for 5 days and my wife loves it. She had a 2001 Explorer Sportrac that we have been running for 19 years with no major problems and is passing that down to our daughter. The Ford V6 engine has been a work horse for our family. We have 2 Rangers with the same engine as well.

    So far we love the car it rides and handles really well and has plenty of room. I have driven several different models and makes I would chose the Explorer over anything else.
