Overall Great Deal. Currently Outdoes Most Brands With Respect To Balancing Value/style/luxury/perf — Currently outdoes most brands with respect to balancing style, luxury, and performance with respect to the cost. (value) I compared many vehicle brands in the same car classes and knew I wanted one of the higher trim levels --- found Hyundai had the best "feel" with the bells and whistles that mattered to me. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Overall a very nice car. Not a sports car as some people expect it to be... that's why I didn't go with the 2.0T... there was not a huge difference in acceleration and if you're going for that why buy a 4 door larger body sedan? Cons: It's not nearly as good on gas as advertised but still best in class Better than expected really. |

Holding Up To Expectations. — This was the first new car my wife and I bought together. We appreciated the number of options. Not only colors, but trim packages. The basic GLS works fine for a base model, but didn't have the pop we were looking for. This SE model has great sport wheels and other exterior options, like spoiler and fog lights, that really make it stand out. For the money, I don't think a better value exists. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Looks, gas mileage, affordability, technology. Cons: Knock on wood, it's been great for the first year of ownership. As I expect from a new car. |

Good Daily Driver. — I can sum up this car as fast (with the 2.0 Turbo) and economically sensible. 33-35 miles/gallon on the highway, 23-27 in the city and it’s fast as heck. What I do not like is the hard, back wrenching, front seats and the fact the car maybe lower to the pavement than my 1979 Corvette (if that’s possible). The Sonata is priced right, but beware of the huge depreciation as you drive off the dealership parking lot. I mean gigantic. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Power, fuel economy Cons: Front seats, car to low to ground (visibility). |

Awesome — Brakes stop on a dime! Great power but a little turbo lag. Great handling. Great style! Bought at Stockton Hyundai. Good dealership but took awhile. Would buy Hyundai again. Lots of leg room in front and back seats, and trunk! Bought pearl white with camel leather interior. Very nice car lots of compliments!!! Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: great Cons: price |

It's A Nice Little Car But A Bit Overpriced In My Opinion For What You Get. — This is a good little car overall. it handles well, accelerates well, gets great gas mileage and comes nicely equipped. The car has a sporty appearance but sits a bit too low to the ground for me. I have had issues with the car decelerating at odd times but only on a few occasions. I have been well pleased using as a commuter car. Pros: Sporty looking car with plenty of get up! Comes with a nice package of standard options. Excellent gas mileage. Cons: The car sits a bit low to the ground for someone coming from a Santa Fe and there is a bit more road noise that I would expect from a car in this price category. Also I have had a flat tire three times in less than a year. Two tire replacements at $200 each stings a little. The backup camera is great but if it ever goes out I think backing up will be a big issue. |
