Figure I will drive for years without any major failure or costly maintenance. Have friends who own BMW and the cost to maintain is beyond acceptable. The interior quality alone is more than enough reason to go Lexus, the BMW looked no better than a 2016 Honda Civic.
Handling Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series 535i xDrive worse.
"Not enough difference to squabble about."
Front Seats Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series 535i xDrive worse.
"18 adjustments on both front seats with 3 person memory on both sides."

Came from a 2005 Acura RL, great car but long in the tooth. Did a lot of research and the GS-350, to me, clearly won out. Got the Lux pkg & preferred pkg and could not be happier. Wanted an F-Sort but I got more amenities with this et up and still got the Sport + mode, really like this option. The car drives great, and is a beast in 2nd & 3 rd gear between 4000-6500 rpm in S+ mode. Any other time it is quiet and refined, got the red with black interior and it is stunning in sunlight.

This car is very snappy, it is a real eye catcher. You get the feel of comfort along with the quick acceleration of a sports car. Turning the corners in sport+ is unmatched. You get 16 different seat positions in the drivers seat that makes you feel locked in seat. This car has all the things you would expect of of a luxury car.
Power Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"The car is lighter, depending on RWD or AWD. The body of the BMW 5 seems bulky."
Handling Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"In F-Sport mode the rear wheels help turn the car in cornering, The car goes around corners like nothing Ive ever seen."
    Looks/Style Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"The F-Sport series has the front mesh and the style of the front end looks more appealing."
Front Seats Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"The 16 different positions that come with the drivers side. Heated and air cooled seats are really nice too!."
Back Seats Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series better.
    "Heated seats."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"The Lexus has hidden trunk hinges and used every piece of available room leftover to use for your cargo."
Family Car Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"This is a close race between the to. The Lexus just gives you the sense of being safe. It has a lot of airbags and is well constructed."
Value Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"The F-Sport+ and the AWD that makes the car corner like no other."
Would Buy Ranked 2013 BMW 5 Series worse.
"BMW needs to work on there styling of there front end. All there cars look the same. The Lexus sitting next to a BMW at a light stands out. Even the BMW driver looks at the Lexus. You know youve got something special when that happens."

Best Car I Have Ever Owned. — Getting a combined 22 mpg on Premium gas, its expensive to operate. The stock Dunlop tires lasted a good long time for me, but the replacements were hard to find and expensive. All that said, this is my favorite car ever. The best blend of sport, luxury, and four door practicality. The manual gearbox is much improved over the version they have in the previous ISF that I owned before this one. That gearbox didn't now what to do with itself at slow speeds around town. Was great on the track. This is much more well behaved and predictable. Its expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, it is the best in its class. And less than some others in its class. If you're shopping at this price range, it is probably not a factor anyway.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Lexus quality and reliability. Amazing handling, great performance.
The best blend of sport and luxury.

Cons: Expensive tires, due to being odd sizes and front and back 19" wheels are different.
    Expensive gas costs.

Lexus=genius — Overall I love this car. The big disappointment was having this nice screen yet no youtube or dvd capabilities. The sport plus mode is all that and a bag of chips. You will not be disappointed with this purchase although price is a little high

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sporty, great drive, plenty of cool things

    Cons: expensive
    gas miles
cant watch tv or videos =(
