2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS FWDReview

Worth The Money — Three years ago I rented a 2012 Sonata for a trip. After spending a week with the car, I knew that I would eventually buy one. That finally happened about four months ago. With the help of Car Gurus, I found a great deal on a 2013 Sonata at a dealership near my home. The vehicle handles very well, and it has decent acceleration. The brakes are strong. The ride is good and noise levels are not bad. I have been averaging fuel economy in the mid 30s with a mix of city and highway driving. The seats are comfortable and interior fit and finish is good. The vehicle came with loads of features, such as power windows and locks, cruise control, USB port, Bluetooth and satellite ready radio. My issues with this vehicle are more annoyances than problems. At times I cannot set the cruise control unless I press the cancel button and hold it for 5-10 seconds. I have also had issues with screen freezes on the sound system when it is playing CDs. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Comfort, economy, ride, handling Cons: Insignificant |

My Hyundai Sonata has never disappointed. A great family car with just the right amount of comfort and power. I couldnt be happier with my vehicle. Safety ratings are amazing and so is the warranty. The quality build inside and out are felt on the road. The price tag is amazing as well. You wont find a car like this with its competitors. The price tags alone are a killer deal. vs2013 Toyota Camry

Love It, Hate To Let It Go — I got this car when I moved to Austin, and have had it now for almost two years. When choosing between Sonata, Accord and Camry, I ended up going with Sonata, because of its handling (much better than Camry), and driving comfort (Accord did not feel that good). It is well built, have not had any issues with it, and all the maintenance it required were oil changes and tire rotations. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: good quality, high reliability, good bang for the buck Cons: many cool features are very costly to add and require changing the trim into more expensive options |

Happy Hyundai Owner — Ver nice looking car that is reliable and affordable. It is a very comfortable ride with a roomy interior. Rides very smoothly so I need to keep an eye on the speedometer so that I don't speed. Not sexy but does look good. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Ver nice looking car that is reliable and affordable Cons: The GLS trim does not have the bells and whistles of the other cars I was originally looking at, but saving thousands of dollars was worth the "sacrifice" |

Clean Conservative And Reliable Great Value For Your Dollar — I may be biased as I have a 2013 now and before that a 2011. I like the new 2015 model but like the overall look and style of the 2011-2014 models. Drive one for yourself to see. The style is nice not drab like a lot of the plain jane looking competition. If you are thinking about a Honda or Toyota, check out the Sonata before you buy.. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great value sensible car Cons: really can not say anything negative about this car at all |

Fun For All — This car is fun to drive, handling in rain is amazing. The heated seats make a long drive much better. And I can fit 3 car seats in back. Braking system works great and has an eco boost that helps get better gas mpg. Also My elderly grandmother was able to get in and out of car with ease. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: MPG, Handling in the rain. HUGE Trunk! No blind spots, LOW maintenance cost. Cons: Low to the ground |
