The 2012 Ram is my truck of choice. No DEF easy to work on and a reliable work horse. Plenty of power with all the amenities you want.

Highly Reccommended. — Overall I like the Ram 3500. It has suited me well and it seems to hold its resale value. It has a fair ride without a load and rides great when loaded. I haven't towed anything that seems to strain it.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: The exhaust brake makes for an awesome towing experience.

Cons: Brake noise and tire wear on the dual wheels are a major concern.

Good — decent truck for heavy towing, fuel mileage sucks compared to other makes. looks great, handles ok, able to handle 40 foot fifth wheel with 14 foot trailer behind it no problem. usually tow 18k-20k through the Colorado mountains, love the exhaust brake on down grades.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: plenty of power and very comfortable

Cons: fuel economy

Great — Would have bought a Ford but the Ford bed flairs looked cheap. back up camera is great when hitching up the boat. Still do not know how to use all the do dads that are on the truck. Have to get a buddies kid to show me.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Tows the boat great.

Cons: Had a recall already.

The Best. — This is actually a 2012. The drop down menu didn't show that option. I just wish it didn't default to traction control. I have to remember to switch it off when hauling a load up hill. Or going up hill on rough roads. Kind of weird. I was spoiled by my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. It was a powerful wonder. Wish I still had it.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Comfortable.  Satellite radio.  

Cons: I wish it had the keypad entry and remote start.  But I know manual diesels shouldn't have that.
