Germans Know How...best In Its Class. — Great luxury car, german are the best (with brits :) at building luxury and sports cars. This one is just one of the high end of what they make. On top it is loaded with options, like blind-spot alert, lane tracking, premium package, Harman Kardon sound... Pros: Well it is a high end Mercedes, and frankly one of the best car i have driven from a comfort perspective and driving perspective. Good MPG to power ratio. Cons: Not much to say here for that market segment the best with Jag and BMW. ![]() Looking for a Used E-Class in your area?CarGurus has 10,035 nationwide E-Class listings starting at $895. |

My All-time Sweet Heart — I can't get enough of this car. She is a Beauty when it comes to looks and a beast when it comes to power. Handling is a dream. I am glad I never got the AMG model.... Otherwise I would have too many speeding tickets! The lights in this car are amazing. It's succulent luxury. Pros: You cannot go unnoticed when driving this car... Cons: High cost of entry into a mercedes |

The Finest Sedan I Have Ever Owned. — I have owned my 2012 E63 for about 18 months now. It has been totally reliable and trouble-free. It is really a sleeper, in that most people assume it is a more pedestrian E class. I have frequently been able to leave Camaro SS's and Mustang GT's in the dust at the stop light grand prix. I previously owned a BMW M5, which I really liked, but it is totally outclassed by this Mercedes. This is truly a world class automobile. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Outstanding dynamics, very impressive performer. Excellent mileage if you are well-behaved. Cons: Expensive to buy. Expensive to insure. Lousy mileage if you drive it hard. |

Good Fun Car — This is not a family car but is great for three season top down driving. If you want more than a hole in your roof you can't beat this Benz for fun and looks and price in it's class.I would recommend this car to anyone. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Convertible top is among the quietest I've experienced. Smooth to operate and generally just fun with the top down. Cons: Price |

2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 550 CoupeReview

Sl-550 Performance At Half The Cost — In 2012 the E550 models get a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 that produces 402 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the coupe and Cabriolet, while the sedan gets 4Matic all-wheel drive standard. Mercedes estimates the sedan will hit 60 in a very rapid 5.2 seconds, while the coupe and Cabriolet should hit 5 flat or dip into the 4s. Mercedes-estimated fuel economy stands at 16 mpg city/24 mpg highway regardless of model. My experience has been better MPG than that. In 10,000 miles, the average of ALL driving is at 22.2mpg. With the cruise on 75 or 80, the mpg will range from 25 to 29. I ended up with a E-550 Coupe because I wanted another SL-550 but the wife says - we need a back seat and a trunk!! When you look at everything, I still got the engine, transmission and power of the SL-550 and the wife got a back seat and bigger trunk. And the E-550 Coupe is over $55k less than an SL-550. Primary Use: Family transportation
Pros:
The E Class has long been where MB puts a big portion of its R&D money. It's hard to argue against any of these, but the E-Class provides the unmistakable Mercedes virtues of meticulous engineering and a driving character that strikes a wonderful balance between responsive performance and handling. Your only choice is figuring out which of the many E-Class variants to get. In 2012 MB - E550's V8 gets a more radical change, switching to a turbocharged, smaller-displacement mill that cranks out 402 hp and 443 pound-feet of torque. This V8 has also been paired with standard all-wheel drive this year in the sedan package, but if tire-blazing action is your thing, the E550 coupe and convertible still send their power to the rear wheels.
Cons:
It is really tough to find any faults with this car except its high price - which is common to MB. I have had a 2012 C Coupe and a 2012 E Coupe. When you compare the two, basically the E Coupe is just a bigger C Coupe. Unless you just need 400+ horsepower and a slightly larger car, you can save $20k by getting an C350 Coupe. The C-350 is significantly better equipped and faster than the C-250. |

Mercedes Knows What They Are Doing.... — 302 HP In-Line 6 with Great Fuel Economy. 7-Speed Auto. Paddles, Navigation, Harmon-Kardon Sound, and tons of goodies. Fun and luxurious at the same time. It is quiet, corners well, accelerates like a V8. The seats hug you just right. Big deep trunk and 21+ gallon gas tank. 12 Months Later, still LOVE this car. All of the above still applies. NO problems at all, have not even been for service or repair. Great gas mileage seems to be even a little better. Compared to others, this is a great buy for the price...it has everything iin one great package. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: The best car I've ever driven. Cons: Nothing. |
