I Love This Vehicle, Period. — It is my first Kia car, and I am looking forward to another Kia car when I am ready to upgrade. Kia Soul plus is such a cute sporty vehicle for a small family. The safety rating is excellent. Gas mileage is pretty good. It has a "cartoon" looking on the outside, yet very comfortable inside.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent vehicle for what I paid for! This is a fun and practical vehicle that I would recommend those who would like to have their first inexpensive mini SUV.  V4 with 2.0 in my Soul Plus that actually can run really smoothly and quickly on the freeway. I mean even the base model will give you all the techno perks such as Bluetooth, keyless entry, Sirius radio (upon subscription), power doors and windows, and huge glove box. Impressive!

Cons: No spare tire, but I guess most newer cars are not equipped with spare tires anymore.

Awesome Little Suv — Like the commercials show, the Gerbils make an excellent statement for promoting this vehicle. Fun to drive/operate and 12 gallons of gas goes a long way, especially with the gas prices constantly rising. I encouraged a friend to purchase one and she went out and purchased "3" - 2013 Souls for herself and 2 of her grand daughters.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent little SUV type vehicle. Comes with a lot of excellent standard items such as power windows, locks, cruise control, awesome radio, hands free mobile telephone system, the 16" tires gives it a great ride and even had an "Eco" button for fuel economy driving. I've added vent window visors, front bug shield, matching "green" seat covers, green floor mats (even though it comes with a full set of black floor mats - standard), a tow hitch and planning on installing the "fog Lights" I purchased on ebay for the vehicle within the next few weeks. Comes with the 1.6 or the 2.0 ltr engine.

Cons: the standard  195/15" tires was just a tad bit too small in my opinion.  Switch up to the 16" rims/tires o the 18" low profile tires/rims if you like that.

Great Car. I Would Buy Another One — I liked everything bout this car. I think it looks great. It handles wonderfully. The ride is nice. The sound system is great. It fits almost two full drum sets which is huge being as I am a drummer. All in all it is a great car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It fit everything I needed to hold and still looked really cool doing it. It has every bell and whistle it could and is still very affordable

Cons: It could use a little more power

Fun To Drive, Reliable Transportation, Roomy Inside, Lots Of Features. — Overall, this is a great car and I hope I can afford another one someday. It is easy to park, very roomy inside. Feels like a mini-SUV. Plenty of head room, seats are upright, rather than slouched like some cars. Easy to get in and out of. Very easy to steer and drive. Feels like driving a go-cart sometimes. Just fun!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Overall good car all around and has many features you would not expect to have on a lower priced vehicle.

Cons: - Doesn't have audible alarm for Low Fuel
- A little low on power
- Fuel economy is nothing like they said it would be.  I average 26-27 mpg (if I can believe the factory installed gauge that measures it).  I have not done an actual gas mileage check myself using actual miles driven verses gallons purchased.  Besides, I don't know if I would believe the odometer for that purpose either. I would have to travel a known distance to truly confirm it.

Another Great Ride — Like the 2011 version, the 2012 model was really a great car with lots of extras for the price tag - holds its value well too. Still 30+ MPG. Sporty and fun to drive, does fine in bad weather, good instrument panel layout. The sliding sun visors are the best - all cars should have them! Bluetooth and media worked well - space was no problem for basic trips, but big things like bicycles are a challenge. Overall a great vehicle, my 2nd one.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Snappy handling, good in bad weather, trouble-free, interior well layed out with lots of extras especially for this price.  Fuel mileage rebate eligible is a plus.

Cons: Rear seats don't recline all the way.  For whatever reason this  2012 + model didn't come with cruise control, while the 2011 + model did.   Mileage not as good as 2011 models.  Wish they had the blue color for 2012 but it was discontinued.

Nice Little Car With Some Nice Features Though Not Real Fancy. — Visibility and ability to drive is good though handling is nothing stellar. Power is also Okay but not too strong though this is good as the suspension is not really up to more power. Braking has been fine. The car is small in length so fees for the ferry are the lower rate, it is shorter than 14 feet. Interior room is great for seats and it was fine for a trip from the west coast of Washington over to Yellowstone and back. Rear cargo space is a little limited when the seats are all up but volume is not bad for such a small car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Nice little car that is easy to park and drive around town.  Reasonable fuel economy and power and great room inside though nothing fancy.  Does have a lot of features that other cars do not such as Bluetooth, USB port etc.

Cons: Smallish in cargo area but OK for what it is, fuel economy is OK but less than original stickers stated though KIA does pay for the supposed difference in MPG.

Front Seats Ranked 2012 Chevrolet Sonic 2LT Hatchback FWD better.
"Made of a better material, you have the two tone stitching which makes it look more like a premium vehicle. They also had a back ball, and adjustable up and down directions as well. The soul seats were hard, and un adjustable other than forward and backward and incline. "
