2012 Chevy Sonic — My experience with this car includes daily commuting (26 mi/day), numerous mid-range trips (150-200 miles) and a few long trips (>500 miles). It handles well, is pretty zippy (I have the 1.4L turbo with manual transmission), and gets great gas milage (around 35mph in town and 40mph on highway, depending on how hard I drive it). The car is a little choppy on rough road surfaces, and storage space is limited for luggage on long trips.....but overall, this is a great car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great handling and gaas milage

Cons: storage capacity limited

A Sub-compact That Doesn't Feel Bargain Basement — Very youthful and aggressive styling for a sub-compact. Power seems adequate, this was a non-turbo charged unit in a time where you could only get this high of trim with a auto trans. Like the blue back glow on the radio and dash. The Steering has excellent feel, very assisted and smooth at low speeds and firms up nicely. Very refined ride for a small car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Steering, driving, smooth ride, Onstar

Cons: Not crazy about motorcycle style speedometer layout. Need to try turbo model.

Sporty , Inexpensive — The look and shape is what caught my attention in the showroom , the color is inferno orange , similar to or same as whats on the Camaro . The hidden rear outside door handles are cool . The interior is roomy and comfortable enough for my 6 foot frame . The 6 speed auto transmission coupled with the 1.8 litre DOHC engine make this car zippy enough for me . The only drawback is i'm only averaging about 27 mpg because I drive it like I do everything , right foot all the way up in it .I've turned mine into an SS , its the only one I know of since they don't exist anymore , all it took was 2 LS emblems and a little satin black paint on the rear bumper and the plainjane alloy 15 inch wheels ,I can't understand why the factory didn't do it .The road noise problem was also an easy fix , just a little strategicly placed Dyna Matt . Lastly I don't like the auto on traction control . I'd like to know if I can make it auto off , that is turn it on when you want it . Summed up I love the car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling , performance , looks , fuel milage , roominess

Cons: road noise , traction control [who needs it ]

A Good Handling Car, Lots Of Cargo Space And Front Seat Leg Room. — This would be a great commuter car for someone who works or goes to school. Easy to park, fun to drive, alot of accesories and safety features that make this a good vehicle. a very stylish vehicle for a sedan.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: a small car, but with alot of cargo space. The bluetooth comes in handy when it is required in most states now. The remote start will really come in handy this winter.

Cons: a little too small to be a family car.

Sarondyx says:
I drove 2 of this type one I placed as my second place pic, I loved it had the extra storage up front, and that it was on the small side. The first one I drove did not have the get-up and go speed I was hoping to have, the second seemed fine again not as fast get up and go but it was fine, it picked up the speed fairly quickly and felt comfortable to drive.

Front Seats Ranked 2010 Chevrolet Impala LT FWD worse.
"The seats were just slightly higher off the ground makng it easier for my grandmother to climb out of the car and not feel like she was getting up off the floor."
Value Ranked 2010 Chevrolet Impala LT FWD better.
"The get-up and go is great to have for the driving I do going from a back road to a busier road I need that burst of speed to get out in the spaces available. For me, it was an easy conversion from my old car to this rather than a smaller vehicle even though I was originally looking for a smaller one. the larger trunk is going to make packing holiday things a lot easier. and fro the price it was going for in the condition I found it in was perfect for my budget I had available. Front Seats Ranked 2012 Kia Soul Base worse.
"Made of a better material, you have the two tone stitching which makes it look more like a premium vehicle. They also had a back ball, and adjustable up and down directions as well. The soul seats were hard, and un adjustable other than forward and backward and incline. "
