Great Bang For The Buck — The Soul was an enjoyable sporty little ride, and had no problems with maintenance. Was zippy to accelerate in and still rode well enough in the snow. Heat/AC were both very fine, and its gas mileage was excellent! We liked this car so much, we got a 2nd one - from 2012, and it performed equally as good! Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Low cost for super MPG, nice bells and whistles typically only found in higher priced cars; fully-multimedia ready, plenty of person space for its size. Cons: Wish the fold down seats went all the way down, but this is minor. ![]() Looking for a Used Soul in your area?CarGurus has 11,163 nationwide Soul listings starting at $3,595. |

Great Car, Lots Of Good And Few Negatives With It So Far — Pros: Rides smooth, blue tooth works pretty good when streaming music. Sound system is awesome, brakes are very sensitive and at times when people cut you off or if you have to stop abruptly it slows down quick. I like the fact that it is a hamster car, fits me perfectly. Cons: Gas tank is only 12.7 gallons, I found myself having to fill up more often depending on how much I drive in a period of time. Cruise control at times is rough when engaging it, but other than that it works well for what it is. I only had this vehicle not even a week when I bought it used, so I might have more to say later on when I keep driving it and notice other things with it.. Overall, seems to a great car! Pros: Stereo system is nice, bluetooth is awesome, Nice cargo space, manual transmission feels pretty good when shifting. It has a 2.0 engine, and it gets up hills pretty good Cons: Gas tank capacity is only 12.7 gallons and more frequent stops at the gas station. My cobalt has 14 gallons |

Great Car! — This car is a great city or first time car! While the car performs great on the highway, the Soul shows its best features when fitting into tight parking spaces or easily maneuvering through traffic. The car is eye catching on the outside while the inside is quite roomy due to the car's unique slanted roof. This particular special edition has many great features such as Alloy fuel door, Illuminated sill plates, Custom details, light up speakers, and bluetooth capabilities that make this car modern and unique! This car (while I have not had to repair anything yet) is know for its inexpensive repair costs. The gas mileage is fair at around 24-26 average city and highway. I have gotten 30 MPG going strictly 60 MPH on the highway before, though. This car accelerates quite well for an engine of its size. The car will easily zip in and out of traffic. However, at high speeds there is a good bit of cabin noise (which I generally drown out with the upgraded sound system that has an excellent sup-woofer). Braking and handling is decent. This car is not luxury car, but is certainly of the same standards as Honda and the like. This car is one of the top safety picks in its class, so the car is very safe! Since the car is higher up than a sedan, you do NOT feel like a pea-sized car on the road. This car is so much fun to drive and people constantly compliment me on this car! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Modern style, great features, Inexpensive maintenance and repair costs, Quite a bit of room inside while being a great city car for tight parking space, great maneuverability Cons: The fuel economy is not as good as it was advertised- it is more around 22 city and 28 highway with an average of 23-24 MPG, the paint seems to chip easier than other cars |

A Great Little Car In A Great Color — Oh and if you want an easy car buying experience may I suggest Willette Honda South in Morrow, GA. Joel and Mark were just great!!! They were both great when it came to telling what I needed to know about the car. Got the price I wanted as well as the car fax. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: I have only had the car a few weeks but I love it. It has a sporty look and I hate cars with boring colors. This color is called Ignition and it suits me to a T. No black, white, grey or silver cars for me. For a small car it has plenty of room in the front and my two car seats fit in the back seat with plenty of leg room for the grand kids. The engine is zippy enough for me despite what the experts say, it handles well and the manual transmission, once I figured out about the reverse button, works well for me.
Cons:
It's blind spots are larger than I am used too. I just have to make sure to take full advantage of the all the mirrors and look behind me before I change lanes. Other than that the car is too new for me to have discovered all its short comings yet. |

Cheap And Easy: Good First Car But Not Built To Last — First off I will say I did get great gas mileage around 30mpg around town and 24mpg hwy. I did enjoy the good gas milage however it was so under powered it would make you neverous to pull out in traffic and if the roads where wet the tires would just spin even with traction control. There are is a really large blind spot ( the rear B pillar ). I noticed after I purchased the soul that if the door panels got wet with anything it wound leave permanent stains and the same with the seat material. It does feel roomy inside but there is no lighting for the storage or cupholder areas which makes them hard to find when its dark. The Soul is a good starter car I dont see them holding up to the test of time. The looks are ok theres a ton of them running around and it looks like the other box crossovers ( Scion, Fiat, Ect. ). I feel I got lucky I traded mine after 6 months of ownership, I notice the dealers started advertising the new model for $2000 less than what I owed so I had to get out of it. I short its another box crossover well priced with good MPG's but suffers in power, quality , and some safety aspects. On a final note on my insurance they rated the Soul as an SUV which it is not however it resulted in a higher insurance payment. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Cheap and easy on gas. Cons: No power, Cheap materials, Large blindspots |

Decent system with a whole bunch of unnecessarily fun accessories. Love the fact that you can get wheels anywhere between 15 and 18 inch wheel packages. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Fuel economy, and bang for your buck. Cons: Front wheel drive only, could benefit from four wheel drive. |

Roomy Small Car With A Slight Suvish Feel When Sitting In The Car! — Love the look and size of the car - great gas mileage so far. Able to make a Costco run and get everything in the car without a problem. Great cup holders that can hold 2 large drinks side by side and still have room for a center console armrest that can fit the elbows of both the driver and passenager. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Lots of room for people and stuff Cons: Slightly stiffer ride - but not bad for the price. |
