Almost Got It Right. — Best design GM has ever produced. Large but not too large. Cargo capacity is huge, flat and easily accessible with fold into the floor seats. Third row seats are actually useful for adults. Car rides solidly, smoothly and quietly but is also good for towing and hauling "stuff". The quality of the interior is a real negative in such a well built and thought out design. Power steering pump failed at 110k but GM replaced at no charge. The interior had to be completely stripped to find a water leak that had completely filled the area between the carpet and floor. After two weeks at dealer the leak was discovered at an adhesive separation in the left rear wheel well. No help from GM on the $1500 charge. Very disappointing. A couple of other recalls but no other issues. The synthetic oil requirement ran the maintenance costs up but, at 130k, the oil still looks clean before each change.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Ride comfort, quietness, handling, style, huge cargo capacity with back seats down, features, solid feel, ample power, AWD in the snow.

Cons: Cheap interior materials, gas mileage, leaks

Great Ride — This is one of the best SUVs I've ever driven. I've only driven it through renting it at Hertz. The performance is great. Build quality is perfect since it's a rental. I love the appearance. Gas mileage isn't bad. It's definitely fun to drive. The times I've rented it, it's had XM Satellite radio. Great for when you're going out of state and don't feel like shuffling through the stations to find the one you like. I can't really rate maintenance because I don't own one. Pricing rating is based on what I've seen online.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Fun to Drive, Great Handling

Cons: Price Probably (Can't afford it.)

The Family Acadia — This car has gone above and beyond my expectations. After several months of searching for just the right vehicle to handle the needs of a growing family, we decided that the Acadia was the perfect fit. Have never looked back at the purchase and regretted it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: love everything about this vehicle....

Cons: not any cons that I can see

Smooth Riding Vehicle With Plenty Of Room For Your Friends And Your Stuff. — We have had the Acadia for about 9 months and we have put about 17M miles on it. It is my wife's daily driver and I drive it occasionally. I have been very impressed with the way it drives. It is smooth and handles pretty well for such a big vehicle. The turning radius really makes you think it is a smaller vehicle and it is very easy to get in and out of tight parking lots. The added rear sensors and back up camera also help. I drove the vehicle for 12 hours one day and didn't have any problems with comfort. We had the seat heaters added and they are very nice and get nice and toasty. The engine is up to the task and can move this vehicle well enough in pretty much any situation you find yourself in. The cruise control leaves a bit to be desired as it does not do a good job of maintaining speed up and down hills. This can get you in trouble if you set it on the higher end and then are heading down a hill; you will be speeding pretty well by the bottom of that hill.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This vehicle has a very comfortable ride and the interior layout maximizes cargo space or passenger hauling abilities very well.

Cons: Gas mileage has not been up to the window sticker.  Interior is a little plasticky.

2011 Gmc Acadia — Great looking car, with lots of room. Was an excellant upgrade to our Envoy.. Perfoms great, has great accelaration, and very stable with a smooth ride. Cost is a little pricey for even the base models, but 0% for 60 made it worth the purchase..

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The ammenaties, and the entertainment system is state of the art!

Cons: The paint apparently..  I purchased the "protective" coating for the paint a purchase time, and 6 months later, had places on the hood and roof where bird crap had eatin the paint off clear down to the metal.  Wash the vehicle at minimum, every two weeks..  Coating company did repaint the hood and roof..

Still A Nice Unit If You Can Afford The Rising Cost Of Fuel. — Solidly built vehicle, lots of zip, nice handling, beautiful appearance outside, could use a bit more refinement on the inside, to similar to the regular Acadia in style except for the wood grain. Mileage could be a bit better but not to bad.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Body style is very nice, as good as any I have seen

Cons: Fuel Mileage

Great Suv For Family — Love this vehicle. Vehicle handles well in winter weather. All wheel drive is great. Spacious enough for a family of 5 traveling. good on gas mileage for the amount of space available and all wheel drive. Audio system is good

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Love this vehicle.  Spacious enough for a family of 5 traveling yet not horrible on gas mileage

Cons: I can't think of any

In The Denali Trim,it Looks Better Than Most Cookie Cutter Versions. —

The Denali version of the Acadia is the premiere luxury model and it really shows. The Denali option package brings out the options anyone could ever need. This luxury atmosphere is further enhanced bu the fact that there are not many SUV's that can haul as much stuff as a full sized pickup and all your items be completely dry once the move is over. It can transport 7 passengers in comfortable and style like many will do but there is a sense of elitism that oozes from the Denali version of this Acadia. Some of the negative issues I have encountered are the changing of light bulbs and one squeaky speaker cover on the driver side A pillar. The past 13 months owning the vehicle has been more on the positive side than the negative. Oil life is commendable, tire wear is less than usual once you get the right pressure in them,( we rode most of the year underinflated). All in all I would highly recommend the Acadia as long as you do your research to find a good low mileage 2010-2012. The newer ones only give you the front and rear fascia changes that actually detract from the look of the Denali trim.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Cargo capacity, power, handling, and looks are top notch.

Cons: fuel economy is a little less than expected once you get over 70MPH
