As Much Fun To Drive As You Can Get! — Bought my 2011 GT Premium California Special (Automatic)about 6 weeks ago. Love it! Coming out of a C-6 Vette, so I wanted similar performance...pretty close, for sure! Only set out to purchase a GT Premium, but the California Special just felt even better and looked great in Torch Red. I was hooked the first test-drive block! Drove the new V-6 first, then the new V-8. Nice big step up and worth the extra $$. Very smooth on the highway, comfortable interior, and am learning the nuances of the high tech stuff such as Sync as I go! I wanted a car with super performance and super good looks...I got both. Of course, it is about as fun to drive as you can ask for! I've been through several tanks of gas, and I've always averaged over 20mpg. That's good considering the amount of new owner heavy foot! Buy one...you can't not like this car!!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun!  Comfortable.  Fold-down rear head rests.  Great A/C.  Wondrous exhaust note.  Capless gas tank.  Effortless spiritedness.

Cons: No 5.0 badges on CS edition!  Spoiler too high on rear.  No telescoping steering wheel.

Amazng — their is only one thing bad about this car... the stupid governor stops it at 155mph. Other than that there id absolutely NOTHING wrong/bad about this car. I would recommend this car to anyone no matter who it i!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the looks of the car is enough

Cons: stupid governor

Are Ford Designers Psychic? They Read My Mind When Designing This Car! — The new engines for 2011 are definitely impressive. Couldn't swing the $36,000 for the new 5.0 V8 in the GT, so got the V6 for around $22,00. 31 mpg highway, a new 6-speed transmission and 305 hp gets is down the road in a serious hurry. I can keep up with the outgoing 4.6 liter V8 from 2005-2010...and still pay only V6 insurance and sipping gas. The interior is absolutely perfect. All the rattles from previous years are gone, and the seats are the most comfortable I've had the joy to sit in...this car is even more comfortable than the Buick I own for work purposes.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything between the front and rear bumpers.

Cons: No spare tire! Just an air compressor/sealant kit.  A spare & jack will set you back over $400.

This Car Is An Amazing Ride. — The wife and I loved taking this car for date nights. I tried to never drive it in the rain, snow, or any bad conditions. Usually I left it home in the garage and took my wife's jeep instead. The add-ons you can get make this car not only worth the price, but an investment in power.

Pros: I am in love with my car!

Cons: I want a shelby gt500; only reason I'm selling it. Plus, I am deploying soon and I don't want it sit in the garage.

Another Great Build By Ford Well Thought Out, Sleek, Great Looking And Very Fast Muscle Car! —

For those of you that have been following my saga; Purchased 5/13/11. I wound up trading the "2011 Red Candy 5.0 6-spd 3:73 geared Rocket i'm going to kill myself car" for something just a little more sensible (I think).... I found a dealer demo 2011 GT 5.0 Convertible, in fantastic condition with 6k miles on it, Got a huge discount from sticker plus, plus - Black Cloth Top on Black, with Black Leather, exterior sport pkg 6 - hood scoop, side scoops, deck lid spoiler and trunk blackout panel which I really didn't like at first but i now see its great for keeping finger prints off the trunk when you close the lid, and yes its an automatic, fully loaded, still love the Voice SYNC/NAV/CD /DVD/ USB/ MP3/10 gig Hard Drive for photos n music it's just awesome oh and Bluetooth for hands free calling is a great plus! Got the comfort group on this one but not the nicer interior package, black leather is a little different in this one than the upgraded package, I will also upgrade and cover the shiny dash with some dark carbon fiber, I already tinted out at 5%/5%/35% (legal fronts) and 5% 6in strip front window, head and fog lights tinted 20%, they look dark but not too dark for driving at night, gives off a menacing look and gets many looks in return. Rims are the Sport 19" regular Pony GT 5-spoke painted rims but they look great against the black. I'm thinking about getting the GT/CS Machined Rims in BLACK, I think their new this year on the 2012 GT/CS if I'm not mistaken, and of course it's summer and having the top down is so nice, they kids love it and it's been a long time since we've had a convertible. The BREMBO brake pkg on the 6-spd is vastly superior to the normal brakes you get on the GT, drive is basically the same, good sharp and very responsive but again pales against the 6-spd with the special tuned suspension that gave a much bumpier ride, the convertible has a much more mild mannered but very responsive drive all it's own and even though this car essentially has the exact same power as the previous 6-spd I had, I find myself driving at a much leisurely pace, like driving a regular car, but still power is there waiting for your command, I got 18-22mpg with the stick even driving as madly as I drove it, the auto so far is 17 in city havent had time to take a road trip but will report back with that info when I do, so I went through 3 cars to get to this one, this is the right one for me, this one is the 'keeper'. Extremely happy with this purchase just ANOTHER GREAT product from FORD!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun in the sun in a Mustang 5.0 Convertible what else can I say!

Cons: none

I Would Still Own It If I Was Single - Blazingly Fast Car!! Brings Out The Kid In You For Sure! —

So, I saw this new car from Ford, a Mustang with a brand new 5.0 412hp engine, 3:73 gears, I test drove a 6- speed stick then the auto. The 6-spd stick came with the Brembo brake and19" rim pkg and Pirelli PZERO Summer tires. Red Candy metallic paint, awesome in daylight and bloody by nite - very cool color! So I drove this car on the freeway and was to 120mph in 4 gear quicker that hell WOW!!! Superb handling, the advance track has a special tune when you get the Brembo pkg. Then I drove the auto - the performance wasn't there like the stick so, I traded my new 2010 Camaro RS for the 2011 Red Candy 6-spd and got a pretty good deal for the Mustang. Warning: If you buy this car and you 'think' you know how to drive because you have 20+yrs exp of driving or whatever,.... forget it, this car is a total game changer, this ain't the ole 5.0 that is for certain, it will totally change your attitude when you drop it in 4th @ 80mph and it just LEAPS when you stomp on it and you are gone!! Many times I found myself driving in ways that I sometimes see other people drive and think 'what an ass'.... well, that was me driving by you at 130mph on the freeway, this car absolutely brings out the kid in you. I dare you to not drive it this way. But what I really loved about it was if if drove it easy it was very well mannered and the power there anytime you asked for it. But that was the problem, with the 6-spd stick it's much too fun to drive it the way it's meant to be driven. I'm 48 years old and I have never ever driven a car so hard as I've driven this one in my life, it makes you feel 18 all over again. All this performance from a 'stock car'. One thing It didn't have that I really wanted was 'comfort group' (front heated pwr seats), and love the Voice Activated SNYC/NAV/MP3/USB, traction control, interior trimmed cashmere striped seats (white stripes on black leather) this package also came with the much darker dash that i preferred and pony on the door panels and an alloy metal gear shifter ball. Build quality is outstanding, everything inside and outside the car lines up perfectly, I'm was extremely happy with the purchase of this car but just not ready yet for such a powerful machine, try it you'll definitely like it and would recommend to anyone over a Camaro - like I said in my last post Chevy built a 'good' car not a great one yet like the Mustang! I have nothing against the Camaro, in fact I loved the one I owned before this one but even then and again all awesome and great things have to come to an end - I really, reallllly enjoyed this car for the 6 months or so I had it, but I'm a family man, and I have my kids and I want to live and be around for them a very long time.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Superior built sports car, blazingly fast! and a thrill to drive!

Cons: none

2011 Mca Mustang — Two piston brakes in front help slow from 100 to zero faster than you would believe. It flies by any previous year mustang gt. the doors rattle a bit when the volume is high, but it does have two eight inch sub woofers in them. Quite possibly the best looking mustang of all time. very cheap, unless your foot gets heavy. Very fun to drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very fast, reasonable fuel mileage.

Cons: Live Axel rear end, and stability control. Eats tires
