Siwtched From Camry To Legacy...couldn't Be Happier — Super feel for the road & torque from the 3.6r. I'm a big fan of the appearance, looks substantial, sounds substantial. Car is a blast to drive & the seat warmers make even cold mornings a joy. Sure it lacks some bells & whistles, but the puddle lights make my wife giggle!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Safety, power, traction

Cons: seats are too firm

Luxury/sport Comfort In A Nicer Package, But Still A Subaru At Heart, Which Is Why I Bought It — This is the new Subaru! In some ways, for this 5x previous Subie owner and a big fan of the brand, it is a bit of an adjustment in that it feels bigger, more luxurious, softer...but that said, under all the bells and whistles remains the heart of a Subaru, with that on-rails feeling in the curves, tight build quality, solid feel overall plus great new leather-clad seats (in the Limited), amazing Hardon Kardon stereo system with iPod interface, moonroof, heated seats, BIG BIG backseat, and a great feel and look overall. This car is an excellent road cruiser in terms of quiet, comfort and cabin amenities. The CVT is smooth as silk and pulls alot of torque from the basic 4 cylinder boxer engine, and is as good at low speeds as it is at high speeds. Much better mileage than my '06, and much better low-end torque as well thanks to the CVT. I highly recommend it!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Elegant cabin, comfort, quiet, AWD still at the heart of the car

Cons: A little softer than past Legacies; feels bigger but maybe just something to get used to

My Baby — I love the Legacy for the 256 horsepower 3.6 litre flat six and 5 speed SPORTSHIFT automatic transmission that provides spirited performance for a nearly 3600 pound car. The car as can be expected for one with All Wheel Drive is not the most athletic on the street but it corners without drama and goes pretty well in a straight line. The build quality is execptional. I had a WRX 5 years ago and the car nearly fell apart. The Legacy feels as solid as a brick wall. The styling is an evolution of the previous generation so it crisply done and very handsome. The only costs i have incurred over the first 3,363 miles is the cost of petrol.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: AWD performance, handling and cost of ownership, navigation system

Cons: 3600 pound curb weight and slow shifiting automatic in manual mode

Love The Roominess And Looks Of The New Legacy - Plus, It's A Subaru — Have had car for three weeks - Love everything about the car, especially tightness and ride. Since it is primarily my wife's car ( I drive a 2006 Outback), I've only driven it 3 or 4 times. No cons at this time. Living in the northwest, and being skiers, we love the AWD and toughness of Subarus, - and the new Legacy has plenty of room and looks great.

Worth Every Cent — Subaru finally made the highly underrated legacy into something very notable, from the awd to the padle shifters on the steering wheel, and the harmon kardon stereo kicks, handles like a dream and is quick down the ramp, if you like to drive and still want to be able to go anywhere or do anything this car is for you

Pros: the do anything sedan

Cons: isn't incredibly fast

Super Car — Ride, fuel economy for AWD car. CVT transmission nice. Very roomy. Very reliable. Great in the snow, Doors shut like a Mercedes, very solid. 60/40 back seat very useful for packing, especially skis or longer items. Would buy another.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very reliable, quiet, smooth ride, roomy

Cons: Wish front seats hugged better.  Fan on low does not provide enough airflow for rear seats in winter.  Fan on medium does, but adds to ambient noise.
