Mostly Japanese, Chineese, Or Mexican Made. — Right after the warrenty ran out the front drivers side and the rear drivers side window regulators broke. The piece that holds the cable was made with cheap plastic. All of the Heater/AC actuators broke. They to were made with cheap plastic gears. They said AC DELCO on them and also said MADE IN CHINA. I had to remove the Secondary air injection check valve and clean it. It was stuck closed causing my check engin light to come on. 70,000 miles now and all brake pads need replaced.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: lots of leg room in the back seat. great gas mileage,

Cons: Folding rear seat is optional. Cheap goodyear tires.

Nice Basic Sedan With A Few Nice/unexpected Appointments — I bought this car after having a 2003 Cadillac STS. It is not the same car, of course, but for the price it is a pretty good substitute. I have the LT version and it's fun to drive and gets much better gas mileage than the Caddy.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: fuel economy, handling, smooth ride

Cons: rear seat leg room poor, power seats with manual back adjustment

Best Buy On The Market For What You Get.. — The 3.9 is OK for v-6, quiet for overhead valve engines. handling much better than '02 was. Braking excellent. Electronic throttle lag is aggravating. Of course you can't beat the Impala for interior room. Best road car for extended driving periods.Good bucket seat back support. Of course the "experts" always rag Chevrolet about their interiors but I fail to see any difference between GM plastic and Ford or Chyrsler plastic.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent price for fully loaded full size car

Cons: Road noise from big dia wheels and low profile tires.
Lag response from electronic throttle

I started looking at this type of ar because of the show Supernatural and I had no clue where to start my car search. I felt this type of car was going to be like driving a boat and make me feel too small inside. However, I was happily pleased and ended up buying the second one I sat in and the first I test drove. It has great get-up and go start to get out of the side roads and onto the main ones, also for getting on the highway. It does fine in bumper to bumper daily traffic I sit in for work. driving this car feels so similar to my first car the car I was coming from a Dodge stratus that it was fairly easy to make the change and felt more comfortable than my older car. I put both cars side by side and they are almost the same length as well which made me happy the dimensions I am used to having I dont have to rework. The hardest this I am having with the car is the blinkers are nearly silent so I find I am driving with them blinking still and not knowing it is on for a few streets.

Front Seats Ranked 2012 Chevrolet Sonic 1LT Sedan FWD better.
"The seats were just slightly higher off the ground makng it easier for my grandmother to climb out of the car and not feel like she was getting up off the floor."
Value Ranked 2012 Chevrolet Sonic 1LT Sedan FWD worse.
"The get-up and go is great to have for the driving I do going from a back road to a busier road I need that burst of speed to get out in the spaces available. For me, it was an easy conversion from my old car to this rather than a smaller vehicle even though I was originally looking for a smaller one. the larger trunk is going to make packing holiday things a lot easier. and fro the price it was going for in the condition I found it in was perfect for my budget I had available. While the car is very nice I should have done a lot more research. I bought it last week and it is in the shop now....yep! 700 miles and it is already costing me above and beyond the price. I sure do wish the other guy had been the lucky one there at the right time...

"Because the Impala LTZ looks good but it also is sitting in the shop 1 week after purchase. The older couple who traded it in know exactly why they traded it in. Nothing to be done. Bought as is....never again."
