Excellent Vehicle, And Tremendous Long Term Value And Reliability ! — What I most like about this car is its ride, comfort, looks, interior layout, space, and fuel efficiency. For a 4 cylinder it also has good acceleration, especially for passing on the highway. The SE package styling REALLY makes a big difference in the looks of the car along with the ride performance, and cornering. It includes a 440 watt JBL stereo and premium JBL speakers which sounds as good as the 550 watt stereo in our Audi. Just a darn nice car, and too bad the new ones went to such a bland style versus this one. The looks of this one won't be dated for a long time to come.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This has been the best car we've owned in the past 20 years. Other than oil changes, and 1 new set of tires, there has been zero other maintenance or repair costs. And to think I bought an extended warranty ??? Didn't need it, but still have it for peace of mind. The SE suspension has been totally worthwhile, and the Michelin tires installed at 40k miles have only improved traction, stability, cornering, ride comfort and sense of safety.

Cons: The only minor item I would suggest a change is the height of the front spoiler. Needs to be about 1" higher off the ground to make sure curbs aren't scraped.

Love This Car! — I have driven in Austin, TX traffic and over the road travel for sales. When in Austin, with the stop and go traffic my gas mileage would average 31-32 mpg. In the country/open road when I set my cruise on ~ 62 I get 40 mpg. I loved the inside of my car every time I got in it. I went from an SUV to this car and never felt like I was in a 'tin can' or something little. All the features of the Hybrid from the keyless entry, steering wheel controls and sun roof make owning this care easy with a side of luxury.

Pros: Excellent leg room in the back for passengers.  My brother is 6'2" and was not 'squished.'
Great gas mileage when you are 'trying'
Very comfortable surroundings if in car for long periods of time
Easy/smooth steering
Keyless, touch entry is AWESOME

Cons: Not worth cost of hybrid if you are not willing to change the way you drive
Hybrid battery takes up a lot of trunk space

Would Recommend To A Friend — All in all very pleased with this 2009 Camry hybrid. Great gas saver with an average of 40 miles per gallon for our family so far. Money saver. Plenty of room for five adults to sit comfortably. Interior design is superb

Pros: Family car, safe

Cons: slow

A Car That Will Never Go Out Of Style — if you want to keep a car for more than 10+ years, this is probably one of the best choice you can go for. the Camry has a very high resale value, The car requires very low maintenance and has no know major manufacturer mechanical defects / recalls. one of the few cars that is widely recommended for both single family and bachelor. it's style and elegance far exceeded it's price.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: the body style will never be outdated. good mileage, low cost maintenance. simple elegant and practical

Cons: too many optional upgrades, it's almost as if Toyota is nickle and diming if you were buying the car brand new... everything is an option.

Awesome Family Car — We took it on a number of trip as well as your daily drive. I would say that the cargo space for a vaction is a little tight for a family of 5. We were forced to sell ( note forced ) with the entry of a new little girl bringing the family size up a notch to 6. This was a 5 seater and required us to take 2 cars to travel. Nothing bad to say about the car. It's super dependable and a great family car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Gas mileage, Price, and ride.

Cons: Cargo space for a family other than that not really any cons.

Update To My Review 4 Years Ago..... — Okay, I am updating my review from a few years ago. I have now had this car since 2008. I still love the keyless entry and comfort of the car. Can't beat the comfort of it or the spaciousness of the interior! I still like the car, but wish I would have not got it in white as it is too plain looking. I hate the quality of the bluetooth as callers can not hear me at all, they say I sound as if I am very far away. This is the second Toyota Camry that I have owned, and must say that I will not be buying a Toyota again. The way Toyota handled the fiasco of the water pump going out does not bode well for them as a company, nor does it reflect the quality on their newer line of cars. They have had so many major recalls recently, one would think they would do what they could to salvage their reputation. I have a strong feeling they will no longer be in the lead of car sells in America. Their quality is not what it used to be in the older Toyotas.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very spacious and comfortable interior.  Good gas mileage (not as good as stated by toyota though!).  Excellent, smooth ride.  Reliable.  Very good visibility (no blind spots!)

Cons: Water Pump went out immediately after warranty period.  Toyota refused to do anything about it!    Bluetooth is horrible. I can hear great, but callers say I sound like I am in a deep tunnel and can never hear me.  Toyota states they can't do anything about it.  Navigation is map based and extremely outdated the day I drove off of the lot.  Voice recognition has NEVER recongnized my voice, so it is completely useless.   Worst trunk space of any car I have ever owned (due to hybrid battery in the trunk).

Excellent — a few things only the Toyota certified dealer can repair hence pricey to maintain. We like Toyota regardless. It is a trusted brand by our family! We continue to shop for Toyotas & hoipe to buy Toyotas for many years to come!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Drives well

Cons: Maybe expensive to maintain

If Your Son Or Daughter Has Just Got There License. Get One. — Great first car for a kid. We got the 4-Cy which has just a bit more power than my lawnmower and not as quick off the line. The new body style is still head and shoulders better than the previous. Very cost effective from a quality standpoint and I don't think you drive a Camry for "fun". If you do? Stay away from the new Z-28

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Safe and affordable

Cons: 4 Cyl is sloooooooooow
