Smart And Safe Purchase — Performance: Acceleration - Average for the compact class. Braking - Good and even without ABS stops straight in panic situations. Handling - Above average, very predictable and stable. Build Quality: Good, no squeaks or rattle. I did have to have the Audio Processor Interface Module replaced but it was done for free under warranty. Appearance: Interior: Laid out reasonably well, materials are average quality. Styling (while subjective) is restrained with very legible and intuitive radio and HVAC controls. Exterior: Best viewed from a rear 3/4s view, the front end styling has been the cause of controversy on the '08+ Foci. Cost of ownership: Very reasonable, the dealer I bought the car from has a tires for life deal so I've only had to do oil changes and tire rotations...and I've already got a new set of tires. As far as gas mileage is concerned the best I've ever got was 35.4mpg(mostly highway driving) with most tanks averaging 30mpg. Fun factor: This car is more fun than people give credit for, with it's IRS (unlike some direct competitors that still use torsion beams) it's very tossable and stable, brakes are good and acceleration in most situations is more than acceptable.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun and fuel efficient

Cons: If you need a lot of room

A Great Car For The First-time Buyer Or Cost-mindful. Should Not Be Considered For Safety! — This car has very poor performance in the areas of acceleration and power, but makes up for it in the handling of the car. Its stock Kumho's keep the car glued to the road outstandingly for the level of performance that it has. The build quality of the car exceeds my expectations for it, however Ford's use of cheap plastics in its construction leave something to be desired. The car is relatively cheap to maintain, so far not requiring any extraneous costs outside of anticipated maintenance. Getting nearly 40 miles to the gallon, depending on how you drive, the car far exceeds my expectations in it's efficiency department. As far as the appearance, it leaves a little to be desired with the clashing aggressive front-end and relatively mild body-lines and rear, and it gives the impression that the car has more power than it does (The wide open front bumper would fit an intercooler nicely. You listening, Ford?) Overall, the car is fun to drive with its above-average handling, but ultimately fails in the performance sector. It's efficiency and cost of ownership make it a very average car, however.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Efficiency, cost of ownership, handling.

Cons: Poor power, cheaply constructed interior, shoddy body-design.

I Have Driven A Ford Lately. — What a surprisingly nice vehicle. Plenty of pickup for a small, naturally aspirated car, and the Microsoft SYNC digital dashboard system is awesome. Gas mileage is also excellent according to the mileage indicator. Solid quality construction and thoughtful design touches rounded it out for me and made me want to trade in my existing car for one.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Pickup, handling, awesome dashboard

Cons: Why isn't how great this car is better advertised?

Focus Wrc Replica — My Focus WRC Replica has Amazing Performacne and the 2 Litre really has great Acceloration, the braking is great thanks to Brembo 4 pots, Build Qualitys good, I love the interior is nice because I have changed it to a Rally Spec, the Exterior styling is nice and the body kit is good. It is quite expensive to run but if you want a fast car you can't just pay chips for the petrol. There isnt much Maintenance apart from when in Rallies. It is very fun to drive and love driving it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything

Cons: The Cost of Petrol

Good Reliable Car — the interior is alll plastic looking stuff. it would be nice to have more richer looking items since it is a $22,000 car. Also the outside dings easily. I just bought the car and it has 3 dents in the side because people open up their car door to wide.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: great gas milage

Cons: shaky at times

European 2009 Ford Focus — Overall good build. Phenomenally stable in turns. One of the best in it's class at handling. The acceleration leaves a bit to desire, but it's to be expected at 110bhp. Overall, it can be a very fun car to drive. Fun factor - 9/10 (for it's class)

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The feel when you drive it

Cons: The audio system. No iPod dock. For the Bluetooth handset, no A2DP.

My Car. — I find that the ford focus zetec s is incredibly fast with a quick pick up. It looks fantastic with the carbon fibre body kit and the ST alloy wheels. It has sports interior and park sensors both rear and front.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The speed

Cons: It's a FORD
