Highly Recommend For People Looking For A Comfortable Vehicle And Above Average Fuel Economy — Excellent quality, more than adequate performance, very room and comfortable. Comfort and roominess are it's high points. Above expected fuel economy. Very quiet and lots of creature comforts. Especially great second row comfort with adjustable seats and lots of legroom.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Lounge like comfort

Cons: Size

We Love Our New Flex And Have Had Many Positive Comments From Others. — Love all the room in both the front and back seats. The acceleration is smooth and quick for a big vehicle. gas mileage has been accceptable. No necessary repairs as of yet. People look at the vehicle because it's unique looking and there's not many out on the road. We saw only three driving to Florida and back from Michigan.

Pros: Lots of room and smooth acceleration.

Cons: More mobility in the steering wheel.

2009 Ford Flex - Flexability —

I have recently gotten rid of my 2008 Ford F150, and purchased a 2009 Ford Flex. I was very worried about this transition until I drove home in it. The apperance on the outside is cutting edge and unique, unlike anything else on the market. It constantly turns heads, every day somebody is rubber-necking it. I do have to disspell a myth. It is not flex fuel. It is only regular pump gas. The only thing the name indicates is "Flex"ibility. This it is, flexable. I can configure any of the seats (excluding the drivers seat) to put in any array of items like latters, grocries, lumber or anything including seven people. The 3rd row is suitable for adults, but may get a little cramped after some hours on the road, the second row is absolutly fine for adults for any length of time considering todays standards. The drivability is next to none, even in the most adverse conditions like ice and snow. It handles like a dream, doing 80mph feels like 30. I do have the AWD Flex, and would not even consider the front wheel drive version. The Flex feels intuned to the driver imputs to the throttle, brakes, and steering wheel. She anticipates your move but doesnt react without your commands. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this vehicle!

Pros: drivabilty, handling, power, classy options.

Cons: Quality of some materials: like some plastic parts within the vehicle. Fuel economy (not that bad if you keep your foot out of it)

All New Ford Flex — The all new Ford Flex is the ugliest car you'll find on the outside. However the inside is one of the most luxurious cars in it's class. The interior is amazing on the fully loaded one. The leather seats is like nothing ford has ever made. The upgraded stereo has a hard drive where you can upload music, pics, and movies straight to your head unit. Also when your fuel light comes on your GPS is notified and pops up the nearest gas station and the price of gas at each location. Another great option is the center console of the middle row is a freezer/fridge. I think the outside could use some work, but the inside is amazing! It is suppose to get 27mpg so that's not bad either.

Pros: Inside!

Cons: Outside!

Fantastic!!! — Absolutely one of the best purchases I have ever made to date!!! Awesome performance, good fuel economy for it's size and the average cost of ownership is good. Family and friends love the ride quality, styling and performance as well. Huge storage and towing capacity! Seats are comfortable and versatile.

Pros: Smooth and quiet

Cons: Nothing!!!

The 2009 Ford Flex — I dont like how the 3.5 liter engin can take off as fast as I want. the quality is amazing and youll never know that the seats were recycled materials from a soy base in the future ford cars will almost be edible if you belive that or not it eventualy be in all cars but starting with the worlds best. Ford drive one.

Pros: great Gas MPG ,Style, Space, Design, versitility, veiw.

Cons: not enough engin power

Haul The Clan In Limo-style! —

7.18/13 Update: We've hit 85,000 miles on the car. It is still a joy to drive, but is starting to show its use (and abuse). Quality throughout is still a positive, although we have had issues with weatherstripping on the doors. Looking to replace the passenger side the second time. This is not an expensive problem, but does affect the cabin noise. Minor transmission leak and AC doesn't blow as cold, but these are both normal with higher miles. Averages between 19-21 MPG, which is still acceptable for a 7-seater. The cargo space behind the 3rd row is somewhat lacking. Not much better or worse than most minivans. We picked up a cargo tray for road trips and it works fine (Vista roof inhibits a roof rack). We bought the 2nd one in town in 2009, and have since noticed several dozen. They're gaining popularity for a reason. Original Review: Granted, I've put about 1000 miles on it. Performance is better than anything I've test driven in the class. The car has style, QUALITY, and power. Our family needs a seven-seater, so the choices are limited. We could not get excited about another minivan (and have deduced from our history that they eat transmissions, no matter what brand). The gas mileage on our SEL AWD is only around 16.5, but we're still in the break in period. I'll try to report back. But as is, that's 1 mpg less than the best comparable family haulers. I think this car will go down as the cooler, stylish alternative for the minivan exodus. Families of 4 or less may opt for other crossovers, but for larger families, this is definitely it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Style, Quality, Roominess (especially 2nd row)

Cons: weatherstripping, cargo space
