New To Me — Nice car that I bought while shopping for a 135. Decided that the 335 was much nicer looking with a bigger trunk and better options. Engine is awsome, with power across the board. 6spd auto could be a little sharper. Feels a little heavy when you try to toss it around too much

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: torque

Cons: iDrive

Poor Build Quality, Disappointed With Bmw — Good performance, poor build quality. Sold it after driving 80 km / 2 days. Engine vibration felt in the thighs from the seat and in the knee resting on the door panel while seated. Squeaking sound from the back both while parked pushing down on right rear spring and when driving on relatively good road. Hard ride, uncomfortable when hitting road imperfections. Turn signal lever scratches the finger due to poorly finished plastic. Ugly looking steering. Continental tires. My 2007 328i cabriolet was comparatively a dream, with the only complaint being the windshield angle was susceptible to rock chips.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very good acceleration

Cons: Engine vibration felt in the body, squeaking sound from the back, cheaply built inside

2009 328 Xi Very Disappointing. — I am very disappointed with my 2009 328xi. The engine noise is very disturbing. During acceleration from idle, the engine runs like a truck engine creating a huge noise. Besides, it responds very slow to the gas pedal, like 1-2 sec later. The dashboard generates little noises at every bump. It is very annoying. I test drive Audi and Wolkswagen CC and Toyota. You dont notice the engine is running in those cars. Keep the noise figure in mind, when buying BMW please. It may disapoint you too, is you are sensitive to noise.

Pros: Interior and exterior design

Cons: Disturbingly noisy engine, poor insulation

General — Drives like a dream. Just turn it on and it goes for you. Takes getting used to when moving up from a lesser quality, but have been driving it for 1 day and has been nothing but a pleasure to drive.

Pros: Handles great, great amenities

Cons: A little on the expensive side, but if you can't afford it, don't drive it!

Its A Bimmer — Everything great and less than great you have heard is true. Fantastically balanced, you are always in control, and it makes driving a true joy. With summer tires it sticks to the road fantastically. But not cheap. So far so good, just some maintenance and a few warranty fixes.

Pros: Super fun to drive. Semi-practical every day driver.

Cons: Pricey to maintain.

I Would Absolutely Love This Car....if I Ever Got To Drive It. —

This car is incredibly fun to drive, especially around curves and has lots of get up and go. Unfortunately, it has been in the shop....a lot. I worked very hard to get this car and I do tend to baby it. If something feels or sound off, I take it to my BMW dealer. Although I have taken it in for issues as minor as the electric drivers seat not working properly or a strange sound coming from muffler, I have also had it in the shop for several episodes of leaking engine seals, replacing the engine, and a full power steering overhaul. Had I not bought the extended warranty, this would have been extremely expensive! It must also be said that after finding evidence the dealers body shop cutting corners, I have changed to a different dealership and have had no further issues, although it has only been a month. My 100,000 mile extended warranty expires in March and I will be trading in this car for one with lower miles that is still under warranty. A friend of mine has the same model and year as I do and has had no problems. I love the way this car drives so much that I am seriously considering letting BMW have a chance to redeem themselves.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Lots of power, incredible tight handling, looks.

Cons: Maintenance costs/ down time and the steering wheel blocks the taller drivers (6'1" female) view of the 45 mph-85 mph speedometer markings (just a pet peeve).

Perfect Hardtop Convertible. — Appearance: Sports car good looks. Sports car handling with luxury car comfort. Build quality: No noises at all due to hard top. No real blind spots due to no door frame. Currently only regular maintenance. Gas milage really good during regular commutes, due to high torque. Performance: Acceleration, braking and handling can only be outdone by pure sports cars. I feel safe and in control of driving it. This car is the most fun to drive I've ever had!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Conversations easy with top down.

Cons: No real feel of very high speeds.
