Fox Car — Car does what I need it to do but the colour is not what I ordered. VW UK not interested in helping me out. What a load of C#*P. On the positive it has a huge boot to fit all the kids in. Leather seats are great and the I-pod attachment works better than the Audi.

Pros: Good on fuel and has heeted seats to keep my old ass warm.

Cons: Not an Audi.

Best Buy For Its Category — Build Quality, Luxury, fully equiped, appearance is very nice both interior and exterior, Performance is fair for the edition 1.4 TSI is faster than any other 1.6 and 1.8 engine limousine car. I am lucky that my company offers me this, since I do not have to pay anything, it is under and operating lease.

Pros: performance, looks, equipment

Cons: is not as fast as my previous cars

Great Great Car —

My wife and I are expecting our first baby so we decided it was time to trade in the little sports car for something more family oriented. We were looking for either a small SUV or a family car. After driving the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Acura RDX, we decided not to go with the small SUV. While they have the space we want, the handling is just not there and they drink gas like Uncle Charlie downs Bourbon. We then went to VW, intending to look at the Jetta. But this candy white Passat Wagon in the show room caught my eyes. It looks good from the outside, the interior is first rate, and the cargo space is amazing. From the looks of it, this is the perfect car for somebody looking for the space without having to fuel up every other day. I still wasn't convinced though, with the stereotype associated with wagons floating through my head. So we took it out for a drive. MAN! If I was lead into the driver seat blind folded, I would've never guessed I was driving a station wagon. The 2.0T engine is just so smooth and willing. I don't know why car magazines keep raving about Honda's high rev engines. With a Honda you have to drive it like it's stolen to get the juices out. With this power plant, everything is effortless. The fat torque curve makes passing or climbing uphill a breeze. Braking is good too, with good paddle feel and the tires gripping well even in wet weather. The handling is awesome - first ride without being harsh, and the car takes corners well for something this size. Also, being in the era of high fuel prices that we live in, this car provides V6 performance with I4 fuel economy. The interior looks like something out of a way more expensive car. The material is first rate, the touches are delightful, the driver seat moves in every direction you can think of, the steering wheel is telescopic, the stereo sounds great, and the aux in in the centre console plays music from my iPod with crystal clear sound. (by the way, just TRY the Honda Accord stereo. It sounds like a cheap clock radio compared to this). I was sold! The car drives great, looks great, the interior is super comfy, and it has all the cargo room I will ever need. And it has the stealth factor that I like in my car. Just earlier today at a red light, this little Civic was revving his engine like he's the king of the world. He probably thought I was driving some grandpa wagon. You should've seen the look on his face when I totally smoked him~~~

Pros: Power, looks, interior quality, gas milage

Cons: Can't think of any

Passat 1.9 Tdi 105 Bhp — Perfomance: I got the 1.9 diesel motor with 105 BHP and it's just a little less for this car. Build Quality is very good no issues there Appearance, although I love the Audi interior more this is quite OK, the exterior is quite nice. Gas Mileage is ok but I guess there are cars who can do better. The car is not a car with a high fun factor it's to big for that :)

Pros: Big car even for tall people.

Cons: Motor could use some extra punch.

Volkswagen Passat Cc — I think it's a very elegant car, and has a gorgeous appearance!! But it's also a sport car, definetly it's an amazing car that mixes the sport and the luxury class! It has a sport biult, but in it has got a luxury stile! It's the car that i've ever wanted to have!

Pros: It has all what I want in a car!

Cons: It hasn`t got any!

Passat!!! — Great drive, well its German!! Pretty nice acceleration, well thats why the turbo is there!!! Nice accessories, great interior... Very comfortable... The maintenance is unexpectedly cheap, but honestly not made for the gulf!!! Mostly importantly its very safe, 10 airbags are more than enough... Buy it, bought it n never sellin it... :D

Pros: Everything... :P

Cons: Not for the gulf... !!!

2008 Volkswagen Passat — Passat presents a comfortable and upscale cabin. Passats come very well equipped with safety features. Fuel economy ranges from very good. I love this car. Excellent build quality, comfortable, quiet, good MPG, and some really nice features.

Not Your Typical Grocery Getter Any Longer!! — I think Volkswagen has finally got the kinks worked out of their cars. After owning many VW's, this newest generation has put the faith back into me. Now it's just time to spread the word. VW is Back Baby! And it's better and faster then ever before. Oh and it still gets a modest 30mpg

Pros: The Passat has not lost it's touch with performance roots, even with a wagon. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for more space but doesn't want a Minivan or thirsty SUV

Cons: Things that should be standard in this day and age and are not. Such as Bluetooth, Keyless access and start. Or even remote starters. I guess I don't have to much to complain about.

A New Perspective Of An Old Model —

Never knew how much a value-for-money proposition a German car could be. The 1.8T cost about the same as a Japanese Executive sedan, but with all the fancy gadgets and functions of a much more expensive German Saloon. Nothing to look at, but it is wonderful to be within. Soft touch materials abound, with a perfectly pleasant alcantara sports seat with electronic 12-way seat + 4 way lumbar adjustment for both front seats (3 memory settings for the driver's seat), automatic tilt down passenger mirror for parking, seats and mirror adjustments are tied in to the individual drivers' key fobs, which is also part of the keyless entry "kessy" start/stop engine ignition system. The electric auto dimming mirrors, electric rear window shade, electric parking brake, auto-hold brakes (no need to keep the brakes depressed at traffic lights) all make for a very pleasant affair. The 10 airbags, ABS, EBD, Traction and Stability Control, as well as the anti-whiplash head restraints, keep all occupants in a cocoon of safetiness. The auto-headlights, wipers, and intuitive controls all make it a better place for the driver who only has to concentrate on the traffic. And with digital radio as standard, the 6-cd in-dash MP3 player with 8 speakers definitely make it a wonderful place to relax as well. Illumintated vanity mirrors (for both the driver and the passanger), illuminated legwells, LED rear lights, adjustable headlamps and dashboard lights are something I did not expect.... Loads of interior space (one of the largest in this class), and a huge boot compliment an already very desirable car. And the VW Singapore experience is definitely second-to-none in the car industry here. I walked into the showroom to scratch a car off my list.... and ended up buying a car I never really considered in the first place.

Pros: EVERYTHING... well almost

Cons: No Aux connector for audio system. Not as quick as my previous car. Not as frugal as expected.

Excellent — My third Passat. Others...2001...2004 and now 2008..This one is the best.. From the heated front seats to the improved power band given by the 2.0 litre engine. I went with the 6 speed auto. New color...Moca brown... almost black.. So the base turbo model... is just about the perfect sedan...abs... stability control... airbags...all I need now are my trusted dunlop m3 tires..Thanks VW and to Palisades VW, NY.

Owner for 0 years, 1 months

Miles Driven per Year:15,000

Pros: all safety features... good power band on 2.0 litre engine

Cons: trunk struts position should return to being on the outside  aka ..2004 model..why can't we have YELLOW/amber turn signal bulbs on rear lights, like they were in 2004 model.
