Great Car —

I was in the process of getting a new care due to an unforeseen accident. It was either the Altima or a 2008 Focus. I ended up choosing the Altima not because I didn't like the Focus, but because it was a little bit bigger. I didn't really want a small car, but let me tell you the Altima outperforms the Civic, Corrola, and Camry that I got to drive. The Altima also gets better gas mileage than what I got with the Civic. The Focus gets a little bit better, but not by much. The best thing about this car is its outward appearance it by far beats the design of the Camry and Accord and has way better reviews then either of those cars. Thanks to me my grandpa didn't even waste his time looking at a Toyota Prius he went out and got a Altima Hybrid, which is far superior to a Prius. For one reason the Altima Hybrid isn't a status symbol it's an actual car that looks good and you can feel good about having the car. Where as with the Prius you have too constantly remind yourself that this is not an ugly car when it is one of the worst looking cars ever buiilt.

Pros: Great Gas Mileage, Good Sound, Good Power, and the appearance of the car is phenomenal.

Cons: none

Nissan Altima 2.5 Sl — Leather interior is very high quality. Standard Nissan Audio system (not bose) is excellent. Steering wheel adjusts tightness based on speed, amazing brakes.

Pros: Feels like a V-6, rips anything except infiniti. Amazing interior. Mix between sporty sedan and family car

Cons: n/a

Omg, What A Great Car! — Looking for a family car? This one is it! It has every possible feature you can think of, and its zippy and wicked on gas. I can't find one thing bad to say about it!

Pros: Push button start, LOUD sterio (Bose), heated leather seats, CVT transmission, sunroof, and on and on and on, I'm not kidding!

Cons: Could have put 17" wheels on instead on 16".

It's Not My Maxima, But Close. — I picked this up the day after my jetta blew up on me, I got it for what I would consider a decent price considering the build quality and the performance. even thought it's just a 4cyl the 6spd really makes it perform (it can keep in line with my buddies Subaru WRX,)

Pros: Styling, Powerful/Reliable Motor. Push button ignition is a neat feature.

Cons: Strange Throttle issue, still gotta take it to the dealership to get it looked at, other than that. it's pretty much bulletproof.

Excellence Disguised —

I've been driving the 3.5 SL for a 3 monthw now and highly enjoy driving it around town. Getting used to the luxery ride in the SL is taking some time. The 2008 Altima is nimble and quick to respond both with acceleration, manuvering, and braking. My only complaint other than the fact this car doesn't stand out as much as it should on the road - look at the overall design closely and you have A sexy car here - but my one complaint is with highway driving. The smallest movement on the steering wheel and the car is all over the lane. It was windy the other day and I felt it was difficult to handle. Driving around town, I haven't noticed this. But on a long trip awhile back, it was kind of un-nerving driving at 80 mph, which is easy to do in this car. Favorite feature has to be push start ignition. When I drive my personal car I'm always looking for a button to turn it on/off. Who needs a key anymore? I should state that I would choose this vehicle over a slightly more expensive, and less fuel efficient, Infiniti G35. Very similar vehicle, though the Altima at least has 6 speeds. Its overall a sweet ride...just slightly invisible

Pros: Sporty handling for class
+ V-6 performance
+ Responsive CVT
+ High-quality interior materials
+ Comfortable rear seat

Cons: CVT bogs engine at lower speeds
- Fussy tilt/telescope steering wheel adjustment (sedan)
- Cheapo faux wood trim with tan interior (sedan)
- Inconvenient release straps for folding rear seats (sedan)

Almost Perfect! —

I purchased my 2008 3.5 SE Altima almost a month ago, and now with around 4200 Km on the odo, this is my opinion about it: Engine/Trans: This car is a true performance machine, and every time I accelerate it hard, it makes me smile. The engine is working in full harmony with the CVT engine to deliever immediate power once needed. I have to mention, though, that CVT takes some time to get used to. It is not a regular auto transmission; it works in a different way and gives a strange feeling at first. Fuel consumption is also average, not bad for a performance sedan. Design: I can say nothing less than HOT! It turns heads wherever I go! New Accord (my second option when I was in the market for a new car) looks very ugly in comparison. Interior: Nissan almost did a good job dealing with their usual problem of making cheap interiors. The dashboard design is much better than previous generation. All control buttons are in the right place. I love the Bluetooth feature. Interior space is very good in front and back. Now to things I don’t like: 1.The new Altima is just released in Saudi Arabia (as 2008 model), and 6 cylinder model stock was very low, color options was very limited based on the available stock. Nissan: when you release a new model, please make sure to supply the dealers with enough stock and make all colors/combinations available. 2.I am hearing some noise from the right side of the center console when driving on any less-than-perfect roads, and I heard from some other owners that this a common problem in the new Altima dashboard! Nissan needs to work a fix ASAP! 3.This one is serious: my car had a front axis alignment problem (car tends to steer to the right) from day 1. It took the dealer 2 days to fix it. This is clearly an assembly problem from USA factory. This car is almost perfect and it could have been the leader in its segment except for a few quality flaws. I love it and I have no regrets at all. My last words to Nissan: you are on the right path, but you need to focus more on quality (hint: take Honda Accord as a model and apply its high quality standards).

Owner for 0 years, 1 months

Miles Driven per Year:3,000

Pros: great performance, beautiful interior and exterior design

Cons: some quality flaws
