Great Handling And Response — Overall, I've been really happy with this Altima. I like the smooth shifting due to the CVT transmission. Also, I feel this car handles really well, unlike other sedans, which feel clunky/heavy. In hindsight, I probably would have been more satisfied with the v6 version.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great styling

Cons: 175 hp doesn't help much with 4 passengers.

Beautiful Car — I love the car, very smooth ride and quiet...nicely equipped and decent sized back seat. The acceleration could be better, but with a CVT, I guess that's what you get. The navigation seems a bit ancient but it's doable.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Smooth quiet car

Cons: Expensive upkeep (transmission fluid $20/liter)

Amazing Fun Car! — The cabin is very comfortable and everything is where I think it should be. The keyless entry and start took some getting used to, but I like it (I know some think it gimmicky, but I love that I don't have to fumble in my pocket for the fob). Great for long trips as well, surprisingly quiet at highway speed for a 6 cylinder, and it accelerates and corners great. On the minus side, the ride is very taut. And, if you live in a city that struggles to pave its roads (as I do) it can be a bit much at times. Also, under hard acceleration, the CVT transmission remains at about 5,000 RPM, I believe the Altima is more roomy and somewhat sportier then the Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, which have been the major players in the mid-size-sedan market for years. Handling and acceleration were better than expected for a midsize 6 cylinder car. Averaged around 27 MPG in combination expressway and city traffic. Great looking car always appreciated the styling both inside and out.

Pros: Very fuel-efficient with six-cylinder CVT automatic transmission.
The seats are very comfortable.

Cons: the only thing its not as quit as i want it to be

Altima 2.5 Sl — Great car! Would definitely buy another Altima! Car handles great and has a ton of power for the size of the car. I only wish that it would get better gas mileage. Only getting about 25.5 mpg at this time!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Love the power that the car has.

Cons: Fuel mileage could be better!

Perfect Reliable Family/commuter Car — Bought this car because I knew I was going to be commuting but wanted some style... this car is LOADED... tons of room and an absolute pleasure to drive. But again, I am a Truck person and do not commute anymore.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: ZERO problems... has been a perfect car

Cons: not a truck

It Is A Wonderful Car To Drive! — I really liked the fact that I have not had any major problems with it. I have not had to change the transmission. To the best of my knowledge the only things that I have replaced are the brakes, tires, and front bumper.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love the CVT transmission.  You can not hear or feel the gears shift.  This makes for a smooth and pleasant driving experience.

Cons: I am currently paying $400 per month for the car.  I have a goal of opening my own business.  That $400 can go to the start up costs for the business.  Another con is that it costs over $50 to fill up the tank at the pump.  It takes 87 unleaded gas.

I Know Why These Car Are So Popular — bought with 21k miles - not even broken in! seems sluggish with more than one person in car. wont be surprised when i get a ticket though. comfy. elegant, yet sporty. my second Nissan. hope i get over 200k out of this Nissan too. Love this car!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: smooth. looks. everything is awesome about this car!

Cons: the car payment!

I Love This Car. One Of The Besti I Have Ever Owned So Far — My 2008 Altima was my first experience with Nissan and it has been a great one. So good in fact that I feel comfortable with my teenage son in this car as I am in need of an SUV. The car is quiet, has great acceleration and braking, comfortable and i average 23-25 mpg in mid size city driving, 26-28 highway. If the newer models have this amazing foundation and even newer technology....it is a real winner.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Nearly everything. This is just a great well made fun car. Great on gas, no mechanical issues, fun to drive.

Cons: Trunk has limited space with the design and indentations that take up room. Also i have had challenges with a blind spot on right side (5'4") even when i have the front seat lifted to maximum height (nice feature on driver seat for shorter people by the way).
