Great Enthusiast Vehicle To Own! — At a 43k plus sticker price it was a tough buy but you will definitely feel why once you drive it. Out of the box "race car" that can keep up with much higher priced track contenders! Much more refined than the last generations but if road noise and ride comfort is at the top of your list, then you may shy away from what this car has to offer! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great handling, sharp looks, head turner, accessibility of parts with easy power gains Cons: Passenger room, trunk room, gas mileage |

Bad Ass — Straight from factory this thing is made for fun! Put another 10k into it, your side by side with a GTR R35 around the track! Handeling is like nothing I have ever driven Gas Mileage is as expected Not the easiest thing to wok on, but fun learning Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Endless fun Cons: not sure yet |

Great Performance. Poor Luxury. Pay The Extra And Get The Mr Or Get An Sti — Performance- The performance really was amazing. Perfect Handling, Great pick up. Lots of power. Very responsive. Great feel through the steering wheel. But if you got the 5 speed manual I hope you LOVE high RPMs on the highway or freeway. If you get a performance exhaust make sure it comes with ear plugs for these drives. Also when you first drive it, if you aren't truely use to cars like this without rev matching, be ready for the smell of clutch and the bounce of a dropped clutch pedal. Build quality- Very solid. Zero problems minus a burnt up O2 sensor (my own fault). And the tires last only about 12,000 miles before they start cupping and coming apart. Soft compound good for handling though. Appearance- The exterior was really amazing. I loved that it looked basic out of the corner of your eye, but when you notice the sporty hood and the raised spoiler you know there is something special about this car. The interior was the single cheapest and poorest quality interior I have ever been in. Everything looked and felt like cheap plastic. The Recaro Racing seats would come apart in places. ZERO literally ZERO basic luxuries for the base model which is absurd for a $34,000 car. Cost of Ownership- COSTLY. Poor gas mileage and the OEM Yokohamas dont last long. Fun Factor- Very Very fun on winding roads. It will surprise you how far you can push it. If you aren't used to power this car is quite the treat. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Power and makes turns a blast Cons: Forget about luxuries on the base model and make sure you have a decent bank account. Also try to avoid the 5 speed. Its Annoying. |

Just Pure Awsomness — Just an exceptional piece of machinery. It's just the perfect mix of size power and precision. Love zooming by porches. Racing type interior, outside midnight black. it needs no repairs, in perfect condition. As for gas, isn't it always expensive these days anyways... Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: size and speed Cons: getting profiled |

Does Everything And Does It Well. — Love everything about it, handles wonderful, has power to spare, easy to drive around town and at speed. Gas mileage could be better but will increase with a tune. No other car for the price range has the speed, features, and technology wrapped up in this attractive of a package. Great in snow and for hauling everyday stuff. Would definitely purchase again and again. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Just under a second slower around a track than some supercars. Cons: stock tune is fairly terrible but an easy fix |

My Favorite Car I Ever Owned — Really great performance and handling. Good build quality, paint not very resistant. IMO great exterior styling, good interior styling but cheap materials in the interior. Very low gas mileage and small fuel tank :-(, very maintenance intensive. Best car to drive in the world ;-) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: FUN Cons: low gas mileage |

Awesome Car On Weekend, Waste As Daily Drive — Fast, good brakes without cop hassle...Build quality is ok, but need more considering the prize that you pay. Great appearance, with wide wheels 9.5" to 10.5" wide and fat tyres and performance lowered springs or coilovers you and awesome looking car. Great around corners, need more power. Very nice and fun to drive, ok as Daily drive but it would be a waste. Great track car. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: fast around corners Cons: nothing |

If Your Gonna Buy One You Need To Invest Another 4-5k On Better Parts To Make This Car A Real Evo. — This car is the worst car ive ever had in my life!! It's overated, drinks more fuel than a Bugatti Veyron, acceleration in 1st is so slow that when I bought it I acctually took it back to the garage thinking there was something wrong with it! For some strange reason Mitsubishi thought it would be a good idea to go back to the eighties and fit it with a 5 speed gearbox. Visibilty in this car is the worst ive ever experienced...the front stantions have airbags and the mirror units are huge, meaning at junctions you cannot see left or right (not joking either). This car isnt worthy of being called an "EVO" its too heavy (300kg heavier than the previous model) and that blunts accelaration. It also has a twin exit exhaust (from a 4-1 branch manifold) which saps power and sound! turbo cars need to breathe easy at the exit of the exhaust otherwise the unburnt turbo gases ignite in the backbox, hence while every EVO X looks like its had its backbox set on fire. This car has been thrown together to compete with BMW and Audi in the European market, but has failed because of lack of attention to detail. Shame because its a real head turner... Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Once your in second its a rocket!!! Cons: It breaks down all the time due to poor build quality and cheap nasty parts. |

Family Car Thats Sporty And Fun. — fun to drive and corner, after some basic mods you can feel a big difference in performance. this car can corner very well with the stock yokahama tires. very nice seats, dash layout wasnt designed well, really reminds me of a mazda 3 design.. after i put the exhaust on some rattling from the dash started... common in evo x's. doesnt really bother me because i cant hear it anyways when i have my stock 700watt rockford fosgate bumping lol. gas mileage is ok cant really complain about it. car is pretty pricey but i bought mine brand new from mitsu. but you only live once plus i needed a four door for the family... Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: fast fun and sporty. EVO X. Cons: nothing unless you got a MKIV supra |

Awesome Performer, Warranty Will Quickly Become Non Existent — The Mitsubishi Lancer carries a fair bit of prestige due to its long lineage. The 2008 model improves on the the already stellar Evolution history. With improved looks and an overall more user friendly interior set up. Where this car may scare some potential buyers away is the maintenance cost. With a strict diet of synthetic oil and 93 octane fuel or higher, it may not be for the faint of heart, or wallet for that matter. All in all this is a truly exciting car to drive on a daily basis. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Awesome driving experience, Handles like GOD is driving, Decent in factory trim Cons: Expensive maintenance, Weird noises, Subaru community hates you! |
