Definatly The Best Bang For Your Buck In It's Class Of Cars — Performance is hands down the best I have seen below the $30,000 mark. Mazda 3 leaves the line in a hurry, but also owns the corners... this car sticks to the road like nothing else. Definatly a worthwhile buy! I am amazed by it every time i get behind the wheel.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Simply put the Zoom Zoom

Cons: if you don't enjoy feeling alive behind the wheel

Mazda3 Sport. — for only having it for about a month now....i actually like it more than i thought. its quick, great handling, and good sound system. its def got the sporty look...and i definately get attention for it...but i swear i think its the rims...the pink lug nuts and all ...ahha.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: good handling, performance, all around sporty.

Cons: not so good on gas.

Mazda3 Base Model — Champagne/tan with black and tan interior. Bra on the front, standard Mazda accessory. 2.0L 4-cyl automatic trans, stock, no frills. Base model. For now. Zippy enough, even for a daily driver, but I really am hoping to get the 2.3L from the Mazda6 put in. This car puts me in-line with the Mini, without the childish "we're a fast car" British ego. Triptonic manual is fun but useless with a 4-speed car. Thank god for the aux jack and power adapter in the console!

Pros: 1/8" Aux jack and power in console, powerful acceleration, solid feel.

Cons: Mileage is bad for a car in this class, charging while playing iPod on Aux causes nasty buzz.

Great Little Car — Excellent performance and comfort in the gran touring model, for a small car with plenty of room for four adults. Only weakness is in the snow where the stock tires truly are a detriment. Other than that this car is a blast to drive, and really outshines everything else in it's class.

Pros: Handling, comfort fit and finish

    Cons: Poor weather handling stinks.

2008 Mazda3 5-door Review — Very fun car to driver over all. 2.3 liter engine has a lot of punch for four cylinder and still averages around 27 mpg. Handling is very competent, with a European ride quality and precise steering. The 5-speed manual is a joy to use, although throws are slightly long. I have the 5-door hatch so it's also very practical and even after 4+ years on the market the styling is very fresh. Reliability has also been excellent.

    Pros: Handling, transmission, steering, practicality

Cons: Wind/tire noise at highway speeds, stiff ride for some

Great Bang For Your Buck. — I bought my Mazda3 in July of 2008 after I had rented one when my previous car was in the shop. I immediately loved it. When one drives this car you get the sense of driving a race car while maintaining the funtionality and comfort of a 4- door sedan. I opted for the hatchback because this seems to increase this sport feel and look even more for me. The car is very well built in all areas. since this car is a 4-cylinder great gas mileage is assumed and maintenance is low but cost of ownership really depends on how you drive the car. My only complaint is about the stock tires. These are Goodyear Eagle RS-A's and are great tires is you area a fast aggressive driver, but poor for the rest of the world. I'm coming up to 13,000 miles and am already down to 7/32" and will have to replace them before I get to 15,000 miles. Other than that I am still completely blown away from this car. The inside lights up beautifully at night and on the outside you have HID headlights and LED taillights. this car is by far the best choice in its class. Oh and if you decide to buy it check out the Costco Auto program.

Pros: Great Bose sound system and who can say no to 30 to 36 mpg on the highway?

Cons: Road noise is a little loud above 60 mph but not to the point where it is a big deal.  Poor stock tires.

Love My Toy! — Very good handling! Pretty quick with it's acceleration 2.3! Fully loaded Navigation, leather heated seats, 6-disc changer. Very spacious car for a sedan. I really want to turn this into a race car, put a turbo in it, intake, the works.

Pros: Comfortable and great with handling,

    Cons: Needs a stronger engine.

The M3 That Doesn't Cost The Same As A Bmw — It's sporty and quick around the corners, plus there's plenty of room for people and their gear, apparently handles pretty good in the snow (with snow tires), the 2.3L engine is powerful enough to have fun but also gets pretty good mileage. when regularly serviced, I have seen some '05 cars upward of 200K. the interior materials are of good quality and are easy to reach without looking down. Being 6'6" it's easy to say that ,as long as I can drive the car with room to spare, many people will find it to be a spacious vehicle.

    Pros: Cheap to run.

Cons: It's missing about four cylinders.

3 — Brilliant little car. A ton of features without a ton of dollars to own. The performance of the car is setup perfect for daily driving with a bit of assertive maneuvering. The styling is bold instead of being dowdy like a lot of other entry level small cars.

Pros: THE bang for the buck car.

Cons: Good value doesn't equate stunning hotness.

2008 Mazda3 Hatchback — Performance : - Get's to 60mph in just under 8 seconds - Hatchback = more body roll, will understeer then give off some snap oversteer (Depends on throttle position) - Braking is best in the class Build Quality : - Known issue panel / interior plastic rattles - Hatchback offers superior versatility Appearance: - Absolutely stunning - Mine is modded so I'm biased :) Cost of Onwership: - Good MPG (I do ~30 all town) - No excessive maintanence Fun Factor: - Infinite - 5 speed manual has close ratios - Powerband in the 2.3L is very linear, torque is available instantly for an i4

Pros: Looks, Potential, Handling, Did I mention Looks?

    Cons: Slow; NEEDS BOOST!
