Excellent City Vehicle, But Regular Highway Users Would Be Better Served By The Standard Car. — Performance: First and foremost, this is not a high-performance vehicle, nor does it pretend to be. The car has no difficulty accelerating to speeds up to 35 MPH, but anything beyond that is met with a wait requiring a calendar to accurately measure. Freeway merges are downright terrifying, and the thought of passing another car will never cross your mind when you're behind the wheel. That being said, the Hybrid really shines in urban driving conditions, its intended purpose. Engine noise is barely detectable in city driving, where the continuously-variable transmission keeps the revs low, and the added torque from Honda's Integrated Motor Assist system gets the car up to speed in a very refined manner. Build Quality: It's a Honda. Fit and finish is near-perfect, panel gaps, interior rattles, and other issues that have consistently plagued American competitors, are, as usual, absent here. Appearance: The exterior of the Civic is actually quite pleasant. It isn't offensive, nor is it radical in any way, but it never looks wrong. The interior is a whole different story. With it's modern-looking two-tier dash design, digital speedometer, and prominent tachometer, the interior is a genuinely nice place to be. Seats are comfortable, if a little firm, and the back seat has plenty of room for two full-sized adults - three, in a pinch. Cost of Ownership: Though generous use of the accelerator is necessary for anything other than urban driving, the Civic never fails to achieve over 40 MPG, making it's 12-gallon fuel tank consistently last for more than 500 miles between fill-ups. Fischer Honda offers free oil changes to its customer base, meaning that routine visits to the dealership don't normally cost more than $10 (rotation, inspection.) Fun Factor: This is a light, nimble car, so it's relatively fun and engaging to drive. Cornering isn't as crisp or stable as in it's non-hybrid counterpart, a noticeable side effect of its increased weight and low rolling resistance tires.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent fuel economy, great for city driving, cheap to own and operate

Cons: Laughable acceleration, lackluster handling, CVT transmission makes highway driving highly unpleasant

Fun To Drive, Love It — Performance - it does have pep and is fairly quick (Y) (Y) handling couuld be stiffer Build - this thing has needed one thing after the other from recalls, axles, 2nd gear went twice, pretty much a new tranny and clutch. New tires all around and new brakes all around. Now it is mechanically sound :) (Y) Appearance - interior is very good looking with all the digital guages, illumination is good, it does have a spaceship look and feel but I like it. I also have jdm yellow for running lights and headlights absolutely looove em !! It does okay with gas mileage could be better though. All in all its a fun car to drive and does look fairly good...when its clean

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Like the colour, its standard and simple

Cons: hate that it doesnt have a K20

Buy It If You Cannot Lay Your Hands On A Gti — Has good high end power, lacks low end torque Had a bad day at work? take the car out and let the engine hum around 5000-7000 rpm and the car comes alive and so do you Typical Honda build quality. Fun Factor - Great in the higher rev band could do with some better low end gearing

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The feel of the car on the road

Cons: Driving on a mountainous road

A Civic Thats Even Better On Gas Than A Regular One!!! — I have to say that the power is a bit low, but its still fun in the turns. On the highway, this car is like any other civic, but in the city, its better on fuel. Plus you get a few extras with the Hybrid. The only draw back to this car is the really ugly mags and the smaller trunk.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Its a hybrid and people around you dont even know, like that prius and stuff

    Cons: small trunk

Quick, Fun And Not Too Expensive — i am finding it to be an amazing car. the performance is very good for a non turbo'ed car. brakes are really good and handling is good due to vsa. only downside i have so far is the mpg but this should be expected in a 200bhp car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Get one. you will not regret it

Cons: Back brakes leave wheels very dirty after not very long

Damn Good Car All Around — at a 75 mph roll can pull on a gt, good stiff suspention fastest corner turned was at 82 mph, due to the rotors has a slit chirpping sound during driving and braking, nice sporty appearance, mine has the mugan spoiler with a blackout grill and wheels now, i run mobile one full synthetic with k&n oil filter, over all a fun car to drive both to just cruise or on a nice mountain pass road

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: that you dont see a lot of them on the road

Cons: people like to hit it and drive off

It's Def A Great Vehicle For The Money — Performance- nothing special but good for what you pay for Build quality is pretty sturdy for entry level vehicle. Appearance is futuristic but, not so loud. Cost of ownership is the best feature about this vehicle. It's fair and they dont overcharge. I love driving my car. Its fun, safe, and easy to drive and did I mention its great on gas. Go for it.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Reliable and affordable.

Cons: If you like a vehicle w/pep. Dont buy this veh. Its not slow but its not a camaro.
