2008 Gmc Sierra 1500 Sle2 Crew Cab 2wd — 5.3L V8 has plenty of power. Acceleration is acceptable for a full-size pickup. Braking is particularly good. Handling is exceptional considering the width and length of the vehicle. The vehicle itself is a quality vehicle. No issues related to build quality. Appearance is, in the only words I can think of, manly. It looks like a pickup a man would drive. Gas mileage is not the best, but considering that it has a 5.3L V8, you should not expect great gas mileage. Currently getting 14.8 MPG. With a 26 gallon (U.S.) fuel tank, you can still get to where you need to go, although the price to fill the pickup can be high. The Active Fuel Management feature, however, is great (switches between 4 and 8 cylinders depending on driving conditions). It's a fun vehicle. Loaded on the inside. I don't have a navigation system primarily because I don't need one. Sound system is great. Although it's a pickup, it doesn't drive like one. My pickup is Stealth Gray in color, and I can tell you that a number of people have asked me where I purchased my pickup simply because of how good my pickup looks. Enough said.

Pros: Appearance, Power, Build Quality

Cons: MPG

Buy One Today — Factory Alm 20's actually nice, 5.3l w/ mgmt system, 320hp, 340tq. Comfortable as hell, 4 wheel drive, lots of storage, bright lghts, 20mpg highway, 14 around town. Fun as hell to drive, low maintenance, no rattle, quiet motor, no wind noise, good sound system, center console, just awesome. Buy one today.

Its A Great Truck — I love my truck. It has the power I need to pass or rolls along to save gas. It's goes from V-8 to V-4, so its great on gas. I love the on-star and in car phone. It has a great sound system, with Bose speakers. Leather light tan interior and brown on the outside. I has everything I could want. I have had a GMC the last 3 trucks I have owned and I wouldn't own anything else.

Pros: retains its value better than most

Cons: Does use more gas than your little compacts

Excellent All Around Driver — This truck is excellent, huge amount of power and torque, great for towing large boats. With the dual exhuast it sounds excellent, I put it into auto shift when driving short distances and it shifts great no jumps or hiccups between gears.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: 465 horsepower
Tons of space

Cons: Large turning circle

Love This Truck — You pay a premium for the style and features of the Denali trim line, but it's worth it. I've loved this truck since the day I got it and am still very happy with it. That's saying a lot since I'm a gadget guy and love the new features you can get on newer models. I have added cameras (front, back and sides), sound proofing (though it was already quiet), and an aftermarket bluetooth phone connection. The GMC Nav isn't the greatest, but it's handy if you don't want to use your smart phone.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Beautiful, feature-rich, reliable, stylish.

Cons: Wish it had integrated bluetooth connectivity, but that wasn't available on this truck in 2008.
