Worst Buy Ever —

I would NEVER buy this vehicle again. After owning it for only 6 mths, I began noticing problems with the shifting. Since buying this car new in february of 09, I have had to replace the breaks at least 4 times, turned roaders 2 times and replaced them 2 times, break fluid has had to be completely refilled 4 times( 3 of them in past 6 mts). I have had it in the shop for burning something (coolant I was told) out the exhaust and was told by the first Ford Garage that it was leaking coolant into the #4 cylinder. This garage was not able to do the work on the car, so I had to take it to a different Ford Garage who then told me that nothing was wrong with the car. It was smoking all the way to the garage, but when we picked it up it had quit. They garage said they did not do anything to it. The car was out of line when I bought it, and was told to drive a while to be sure, if it was still out of line to bring it back and they would fix it. When I did they refused and said i waited too long. I am working on the 3rd set of tires, and will need new ones shortly in the front. The last set was put on just before christmas and it 4.5 mts ago. Ford refused to do anything about the problems.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: NONE

Cons: Too many problems

Drive Ford And You'll Always Be Satisfied. — Performance-Good exceleration, good braking, excellent handling. Build Quality-Very good, paint scratches easily and grille has bubbles in the chrome. Appearance-Very good, nice fit up inside and out, except as noted in "Build Quality". Cost of Ownership-Gas milage is between 23 MPG and 24 MPG, and maintenance has only been normal tune-ups and oil changes. Ford Quality is evident. Fun Factor-Drives very well and is reliable, comfortable, and practical transportation.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Drives very well and is reliable, comfortable, and practical transportation.

Cons: None

The 2008 Ford Taurus X Sel Fully Loaded Limited Edition Handles Well And A Good Family Car. — My car is HOT. It drives with class. We bought it fully loaded: sunroof, dvd player, sync, leather seats, air bags throughout, 6 cd changer, infared headphones and remote come with the dvd. There's a reverse sensor and it's all wheel drive. Black and chrome in color exterior, and tan/creamy seats with black and silver dash. NICE RIDE. I recommend this vehicle to families mostly. It has 7 seats, 6 fold down so you can have one seat and all cargo. Not bad on gas, Smooth highway and city driving.

Pros: Nice appearance, drives smooth, good on gas, roomy in the front, lots of cargo, safe, handles well

Cons: expensive, takes along time to warm up in winter, not alot of leg room in back,

The Modern Mom's Superwagon — Although I only have one 3 year old, I am a very busy mom, with 1 dog, a husband, and do volunteer work and a 1st year medical resident...My Ford Taurus X not only provides me the luxury of Microsoft Sync, but also opens the rear hatch at the push of the key fob, my doors open automatically, security, everything, and great moonroof, best of all, great tax credit because I chose a model with E-85...I also have rheumatoid arthritis so I did not want a gigantic SUV to get in and out of, but I wanted the length and size of an SUV without the price of gas of an SUV...Overall my Ford Taurus X is the best in my opinion the "Mommy Superwagon" car I've ever owned compared to the 2-door hatchback of Mercedes Kompressor that I had before my daughter had feet to walk on...lolol

Pros: Lots of space and style compared to other crossovers

Cons: None that I can think of at this time...

Family Style Car — This brand new 2008 Ford Taurus X is a one of a kind car. My mom uses it for work and loves driving it. It has one of the SAFEST crash test ratings. 6 standard air bags BUT not that gas friendly. It has 3 rows of seating and is better than any other style 3 row SUV out there. HIGHLY RECOMENDED

Pros: comfort, safe, Satelite radio w/ cd, heated seats, and much much more

Cons: Gas eater 17/24

My Mom's Smokin Hot Ride! — It rides smooth. It has the media control on the steering wheel. It also averages out your gas millage and tells you how far you have till empty. 12 cup holders. Speed volume. Compression included. Plays mp3 cd's and players.

Pros: 12 cup holders.  Passenger air bags.

Cons: The blindspots are different then other vehicles so be careful until you are used to it.
