Sporty Look And Feeling — This ride is kinda nice and gives the driver a sporty feeling. Hard suspension, noisy engine. Personally, i like it and plan on driving it for a few years.

    Pros: Sporty look & feel

Cons: Inside is too basic. Not enough fancyness inside.

Marvelous Handling And Well-equiped — The car is just astonishing! Marvelous handling, excellent acceleration granted by the Duratec 2.0 16V (147hp) engine. But you have to pay the price: 6km/l (14mpg) city / 9km/l (21mpg) highway. My is rather well equiped, since it is the Ghia version. Power everything (except pedals), sunroof, ABS, Double Air Bag (it isn't mandatory here in Brazil), leather upholstery, MP3 CD with satellite controls beside steering wheel. However, it is one generation behind the european Focus... We still have the MK 1 1/2.

    Pros: Handling, engine, equipments

    Cons: Small sunroof, gas-guzzler

Ugh. — Sync. Sync. Sync. A geek's dream. Plug in your iPod, and say a song, and the car will start playing it. The car dictates your texts. Bluetooth and all for $300. The ambient lighting is a nice touch, but not worth it. But its all downhill from there. The car's 5 speed manual is a bit chunky( I test drove the manual), but I ended up getting the 4 speed manual. Bad idea. The tranny gave up on me while I was going down a hill, and Ford took the car back. The interior sucked. Everything was cheap plastic. The sound system was ok. Sync was its only saving grace, and even then its not much.

    Pros: Sync.

    Cons: Terrible engine/tranny
    Bad quality.

A Surprisingly Viable American Alternative To The Civic And Camry. — To be honest, my expectations for the redesigned Focus was somewhat low considering the strides made by the more popular Honda Civic. But, when I first saw the Focus in person instead of the pictures online, the exterior didn't look so bad and eventually the design cues grew on me. The changes does make the car look a bit more aggressive and sporty, but that's as far as I'll go. The surprises and changes were more evident once I got inside the car. I shut the door and the first thing I noticed was how quiet the car was. It was almost as quiet as my mom's Enclave (and that's really quiet). The center stack is much better when it comes to design, layout and materials, a definite improvement over the previous Focus. Compared to the recent Civic, it was much easier to find a comfortable seating position. The shifter in the Civic was positioned awkwardly when you try to shift, but the Focus' shifter is right where it should be and didn't feel awkward to shift at all. The ride is surprisingly agile (if not sporty) and the engine was more powerful than I thought it would be. The engine might have sounded a little bit coarse, but it didn't feel underpowered in the slightest. For the techies, the Sync option is a must have. Controlling your iPod and cell phone with your voice is not only fun and cool, it also makes sure you keep your attention to the road instead of fidgeting with your iPod and cell phone. Others may disagree with me, but I personally prefer the Focus over the Civic anyday. For those of you who want to buy American but want more personality in a compact, the Focus should be on your test drive list. Good job, Ford!

Pros: Surprisingly roomy for a compact, much improved interior (materials and layout), Sync sytem great for cell phone and iPod, quiet ride, refreshing exterior redesign, fuel-efficient yet peppy 4-cylinder engine

Cons: Despite the redesign, you can tell that the platform is still the same since it was first introduced in 1999. Automatic should be 5-speed instead of 4, and the option of a manual-shift mode with the automatic should be available. Some noticeable lean wen taking a few hard turns. Ford, change the fender vents, PLEASE! At least make them functional and more appealing to the eyes!

Very Satisfied With The Focus, And The Gas Milage Is Great. — Sync is awesome, pleasantly surprised with front interior room, I'm 6'3" 285 lbs and fit comfortably. Engine is peppy, and handling is tight but not to busy. I like the interior layout, and exterior styling.

Pros: Sync, gas mileage, roomy interior.

    Cons: No bodyside molding offered.

Its Got Some Cool Little Gadgets Like The Sync And Ambient Lighting. Its Pretty Neat — Its not fast but it sounds pretty good. It gets sick gas mileage and has some cool things to play around with like the sync system that reads text messages and calls people though the speakers. It also has the 7 color ambient lighting. The interior is actually really sick but the outside exterior can get better.

Pros: Fun and good gas mileage.

    Cons: Not fast

2008 Ford Focus Ses Coupe/manual Transmission — I have owned all sorts of vehicles....Dodge...Ford...Toyota...Chevy...Mazda and BMW. I have never, ever enjoyed a vehicle as much as I enjoy this one. The cabin is SUPER quiet, even when shifting gears(can barely hear the engine)and the shifting is smooth as butter. It handles awesome, the ride is very soft, has plenty of power, the seats are very comfortable, the Microsoft SYNC easily plays all my Artists on my Wolverine 5160(160GB). It took about 5 minutes or so to index all the files, but when it finished, I asked it to play whatever artist I wanted and it responded beautifully. Hands-Free phone conversation is another Gem with this vehicle. The person on the other end can hear your voice perfectly. This is the real Bluetooth! I have the Audiophile system and music sounds awesome with the built in Subwoofer in the trunk. Also, Ambient lighting is great as well. Do yourself a favor. If you want to get a great vehicle that is inexpensive, but has quality to boot, please look into this car. You will not be disappointed. Did I mention that this car gets around 35 miles per gallon as well. I am so happy about this car....Can Ya Tell? It's perfect in every way.

    Pros: I've already said them.

    Cons: NONE WHATSOEVER!!

Gas Saver And Dependability — I absolutely love everything about this car. When we first bought it, we were a little afraid of buying a Ford product, but now I am not afraid. This car has been trouble free from day one. I would recommend this Focus to anyone looking for reliable and cheap transportation.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable, cheap on gas, roomy for a compact, good visibility

Cons: It's a compact, so it's been sufficient when the kids were small. Now we might be looking for something larger
