The Room Inside And The Power ! — Traded in the Escape for this, much better in every way compared to the Escape. Took it to the Rockies for the "may 2 4" weekend and it was extremely nice for a long drive. Looking forward to driving to Cape Breton this fall.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

    Pros: Fuel mileage

    Cons: none

We have owned all three models, though not all the same model year. The GMC was by far the fanciest, most expensive, followed by Chev, but both had almost identical problems associated with them. When I finally had a chance to buy my own truck, I sprang at the chance to try Ford F150. To this day, I am EXTREMELY happy that I did. I do not have the same nagging problems that the Chevy's we owned had became famous for, mostly all were associated with the electrical system. I am more comfortable in my Ford and my children want to take MOM's truck on vacation!! Nuff Said...

Ive had plenty of experiences with F-150s and I definitely have mixed reviews. The overall handles and power can definitely be worthwhile. These trucks NEED to be taken care of constantly, I have a loyal customer thats put 350K Miles on an F-150 that we sold him close to 15 years ago that he still rides every day but the only reason why its still kicking is because the maintenance he does is frequent to say the least! The Wheels definitely have a certain stigma and to me seem to have a very solid grasp around the rubber. Sometimes these trucks are absolutely bulletproof, but sometimes they seem to have one small issue that turns into 15-20 annoying problems that never seem to go away. The Interior is a very rigid design, the spacing is rather odd for what the cab is suppose to feel like in a truck. Not a smooth ride, and I dont think the cab is comfortable for a family to enjoy the long ride out to the camping grounds for the weekend. All in all its hit or miss on an F-150
Front Seats Ranked 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 4WD better.
"The bucket seats in the Avalanche compared to the F-150 are a world of a difference. The Avalanche definitely sits higher, and the padding is absolutely perfect for comfortability! The F-150 has a very weird feel for a lack of a better term, the seats are normally not as delicate as the Avalanche. I mean yeah, a truck is meant to be a more masculine feel but if Im driving something everyday it has to be good for sitting in you know?"
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 4WD better.
"The Avalanche has a Wide-Style Cabin that sits wider than an F-150. The cab in the F-150 is very BUSY, Ford tries to do too much with this. The Avalanche Seats in the Rear have a higher up stature like the front, and the rear cabin is further back than it is in the F-150s. We sold an LTZ Avalanche a little while back and the children of the family who bought it were all under the seats sprawled out like it was its own play area. The F-150 has a stubbier cabin and doesnt allow you to feel as spread out like the Avalanche does."
