Great Car For The Price. — I was happy with my purchase on this car when my family was smaller. This is a great car for the price with lots of features. IPOD, Stereo with CD player & Tire detection. The Air conditioning & heat work well. Easy to park and turn.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great little car with lots of cargo room & seats 5.  Has IPOD hookup & CD Player.  Easy to keep clean.

Cons: Would love a bigger car for my family of 5.

"a Sporty Economical Ride For Little Money" — I get many many compliments on my car by people I don't even know. It looks good with the top up or down. Has good power to it, operates well in the snow, it's comfortable whether just driving around town or taking it on a long trip. Great fuel economy on these cruisers. If I ever buy another car again, I'll buy another PT Cruiser. Love it.......Love it........Love it!!!!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love my convertible! It's comfortable to ride in, even on long trips. Great on gas. I am tall and also have arthritis in my hips and back I was looking for a smaller vehicle to take the place of my SUV, but one concern I had was being able to get in and out of the vehicle without any discomfort or trouble. The PT cruiser sits high enough that I have no issues with getting in and out of it. I also have plenty of leg room as do passengers. You don't hear much road noise at all in the convertible which I was surprised to find.  It is one sporty, economical little car and is good for a family even. I'm so glad I bought mine!

Cons: On the convertible there is limited space in the truck for groceries or other items. The only downfall I can see in the car.

Very Disappointing - Very Little Room — Very Disappointing - Very Little Room This was a rental car that we had during our vacation in October, 2008. We picked up the car at DFW in Texas and drove it to OK City, OK; Little Rock, AR; Memphis, TN; Dayton, OH; Holland, MI; and returned it at O'Hare. From day one it was a struggle to get all the luggage we had for our two week trip. I must have been out of my mind. We had rented a 2005 Mustang a few years earlier and it had way more room that this tiny ride. Performance was adequate, and the mileage was OK. The only redeeming thing was the looks. But that will only get you so far. If there are two of you traveling for more that a week, PASS on this car. It was a royal pain.

Pros: Nostalgic look??

Cons: NO ROOM, brakes, noise

Love Mine — I commute 60 miles a day and find the car enjoyable. The looks are wonderful inside and out and the car has a very nice "stiff" quality that i love. Does have some road noise on rough roads. Its a nice car and i love mine.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Retro look

Cons: road noise on rough roads

Awful — The worst car I've ever driven. Nudged 20 mpg on a good day, handled terribly, and had Chrysler's trademark disgusting interior quality and design. It's unbelievable that Chrysler still makes these things, but it's probably because it costs like $5 to throw one together. I guess an HHR would be better, and a Scion xB would be better than that.

Pros: The color wasn't too bad.

Cons: Everything else.

Convertible Turbo Is A Strong, Stable Car With Bad Gas Mileage — when chrysler announced the discontinuation of the PT cruiser convertible, and i discovered that i could get a lifetime service contract that made the warranty essentially bumper-to-bumper, i had one factory made to my specifications. overall, i've been very pleased, although i AM bugged about the 21 mpg gas mileage (i knew it would be bad ahead of time -- i had rented one a few times before owning). top down in the middle of a hot NV night is the most fun i've ever had driving ANY car, ANYWHERE at ANY time. for more details on my experiences -especially related to the lifetime service contract i have on this vehicle- do a search for the "continual car" blog. thanks for reading.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: feels very spacious on the inside.
the turbo is shockingly fast and powerfl.
lifetime powertrain warranty, matched with a lifetime bumper-to-bumper service contract is unmatched ANYWHERE.
leather seats with seat warmers are exquisite.
bose sound system upgrade is the best i've ever heard in a car.
convertible top up/down in 8 seconds is the fastest of any power-top car ever made.
rear seats are pitched up and pushed in (stadium style) giving rear passengers good views out the front (especially with top down).
interior vent system is the best/easiest to use of any car i've ever driven.
after 75K miles it's running well and strong.

Cons: 20 mpg is a joke on a 21st century automobile.
convertible has VERY little storage space.
with the top down, the roll bar gives the car an odd picnic basket look (not a "con," but it IS strange).
turning radius is too big for a car of this size.
car is far too heavy for its frame size and ground print.
engine is jammed very tightly together -- replacing your own battery is VERY difficult.
