Quality, Style, Economy, And Excellent Reliability — Repaced the tires at 45,000 miles with Michelin Harmony tires. Routine maintenance. I average 32 MPG HWY, 27 MPG CITY. Quiet, comfortable, roomy, excellent handling. I've owned over 30+ vehicles, and this is truly one of the best. Flex fuel if it were available to be bought, however no "green", yellow, red, or blue oil company sells e-85 anywhere I've been through out the midwest, southeast, northeast, mid-atlantic that I can find anywhere.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Style, Handling, Economy, Room for 6

Cons: Original Goodyear Integrity not the best tires for long life.

If You Need A Sedan Or Like Sedans, This Is An Appropriately Priced Vehicle With Good Power And Grea — Good acceleration for a sedan. Nice rims, leather, and sound. Bad torque steer. Heated seats come in handy in winter. Remote start is nice in both summer and winter and automatically turns on defroster or air conditioning. Overall, I love it!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Interior styling and size as well as power

Cons: Torque steer

Love It — Handles well. Wish it was RWD. Looks stylish. Pretty fast I must say. The cost for fuel is a definite negative but I knew that going into it. Overall a fun car to drive. Its never needed repairs other than a normal oil change.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Quick and handles good.

Cons: Fuel mileage, insurance costs

My Perfect Car — The only problem I had with this car is due to the low profile tires. In the cold temperatures, I have a hard time keeping the air pressure up to the norm. But other than that... I love this car! The new engine that switches from 3 cyl to 6 when needed is great! The impala's sleek body makes it look a little sporty with plenty of room inside! I would purchase another one if there was a need. I would highly recommend this mid sized car to my closest friends and loved ones.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Everything else!

Cons: Air Pressure.

My Impala 2008 — This Car is built for speed (to 120mph) then it suffers badly...You can feel the body and axles shake at 70 mph+ 32,000$ Fun to drive with Stock-car like Steering. I wound not recommend this car for a chevy fan, For a family..Yes.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Nice, clean, Serious looking car

Cons: Cant hanndle speed

A Taste Of Luxury At Very Low Price; Love It. — Bought it used with 16K miles. Was pleasantly surprised; very smooth ride and an average of 27mpg/32mpg on highway. Performance are ok but a little slow to accelerate from complete stop. Very well built inside; everything feel great to the touch. only small complaint is a little rattle from the top left of the winshield on very bad road.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: confortable, very silent, onstar, lot of standard luxury

Cons: transmission slow to respond, frame needs tightening

Great Highway Car — one of the nicest cars I've ever owned. It gets an amazing 30 mpg on the highway, rides quietly and cruises smoothly. Although the other reviews say little for the styling, I think it looks good and the tolerances for the body are very tight, like much more expensive cars. It's a car you can hop in, stretch out and enjoy the ride. I've had it for 16 months and 45,000 miles and I have only needed to replace the tires so far. The Goodyear Integrity tires that came with the car wore out quickly.

Pros: great mpg and low maintenance

Cons: seats could use bolsters to make them more comfortable

08 Ss, Bland Buisness Cruiser Or Sleeper In Disguise? —

2008 Impala SS, mine came with the Heated leather seats, otherwise its just the 'basic' SS, no sunroof or bose stero. Now, Performance, one cannot ask more for then what the SS gives, 303 HP standard out of the V8, its very peppy and I can say she has no problem getting you to 60 in under 6 seconds. Downfall, is the torque steer apparent from the FWD application, everyone wishes this car was RWD, but the FWD does have its advantages for northern winter driving. Build Quality, I would rate average to above average, I know some SS owners who have a bit 'rattly' of interior, personally mine is just fine, I think it varies, but its definitly not a constant build factor for interior parts, exterior wise, no complaints. Apperance, well its about as boring as boring gets for general looks, but I prefer it that way, this car can scream down the highway but thanks to its non-attractive looks, even the cops don't seem to give this car much attention. Ownership costs, so far maitenance has been nothing more than needing new rotors/brakes as the stock rotors are definitly not built to stop 4000lbs of american steel on hard stops constantly, generally aftermarket rotors fix this problem pretty easily. Gas mileage for me, averages 18-20mpg city, and up to 32mpg highway, thanks to the DOD on the V8. Fun factor, The V8 sound and the power behind this car adds to the fun-factor 10 fold once you drive this car, she does have some body roll in her, for anyone who buys an SS I would HIGHLY recommend the addition of STB bars and braces for the STB bars.

Pros: Power, Roomy, Comfortable, Price

Cons: Looks, Still heavy, Wrong wheel drive.

Was My Rental Car In Hawaii — Great Horsepower a 5.3L V8 it has heated seats in it too which I also liked. This was my rental car in Hawaii and i never expected it is a impala SS. The gas milage so poor and is expected for a V8 engine like that.

Pros: A V8 Engine Great power

Cons: Gas Guzzling

Drove It A Week; Will Never Again — Just took the car on a 700 mile road trip. What a horrible car! Sure, it goes fast, but it doesn't hold the lane well, turns like a truck, has outdated controls, uncomfortable seats, and lacks basics like even a thermometer. I hated this car. Poorly designed machines like this are why Detroit fails to compete with imports that look, handle, and feel better.

Pros: fast

Cons: everything else about this car
