Most Beautiful Car Ever Made! — BMW really outdid themselves with the new M3, its gorgeous looks catch your eye and when you lift the bonnet you see why this new M3 packs quite a hard punch for under the bonnet is a 4 litre V8 producing 420 BHP, with a top speed of 160 MPH and max torque of 295 pound feet at 3900 RPM it is the fastest car BMW have produced and is the best sports car money can buy.

    Pros: everything about the car

    Cons: nothing!

It's A Car For Everyday Use. Fast And Fun To Drive. More Space Compare To Other Sport Car. — It's very fast and very easy to drive. It have a nice 6 speed manual gearbox and also the crutch is so soft compare to other car I drive before. It's a ultimate machine car that I can drive everyday for work or chill out. This car is also fun to drive for track day. I am very enjoy driving this sport car so much. Very nice styling, best performance and I would give 9 out of 10 on overall impression.

Pros: 4 ppl can fit in for this sport car. 2 golf bag could load in. Nice styling, Best handling, Best performance and awesome engine.

Cons: If I push it too hard, it would spin because it's a 2 wheel drive system.  Need to know the limit of this cart.  Run out of gasoline easily due to V8 engine.

Very Satisfying, Meets My Expectations. — 2008 M3 6MT - found one with 70K miles for $28K. Well-maintained and very clean. - There is only one type of person who will love this car as it is. That is someone who appreciates normally aspirated, high-revving, small displacement motors (= lower torque #'s) wrapped in a grand-touring car who also want to transport 4 people in comfort (if sedan). Don't buy this car if you want neck-snapping torque, don't exceed 5000 RPM while driving, expect girls to notice you (they won't) or think you will take any and all tuner or muscle cars between street lights (you will be sad). I also don't recommend this car if you plan to daily drive it and are funds limited. It will break and it will be expensive. - BUT...As a third car, it is amazingly satisfying to drive on back roads and open highways. Handling is predictable, neutral and rewarding. Braking is instantaneous and adequate. Intake sounds remind me every, single time why I bought it. - BMW forum support is truly awesome - a small percentage of BMW owners (mostly not true enthusiasts) ruin the reputation for the rest - but in reality most are really cool and just into cars and tech. I have done several minor trim repairs based on the excellent posts from other folks. - In my humble opinion, this car does exactly what is was intended to do and nothing more. Don't believe the hype or criticisms and do your own research (and driving). You may hate it, you may love it. - My recommended options: Get M-drive - it permits driver adjustment of steering speed, throttle response, suspension setting and stability control. If you like music, get one with the individual audio system. It generally lacks low-end response, but mid and highs are clear enough for my amateur ears as well the sound-stage and imaging make me happy. - Get the dual-clutch if you must, but in my humble opinion, you may be missing the point...

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: V8 engine and high-revving nature, solid build quality, addictive engine intake sounds, great visibility, decent utility (4-doors), good brakes (for street use), beautiful and proportioned lines, high-quality leather, neutral turn-in and mid-corner handling, M-drive functionality, shifter-clutch smoothness (even in heavy traffic), seat comfort and adjustability, individual audio sound quality (except for low-end)

Cons: Leather durability (pre-mature wear), plastic trim (finish peels), individual audio lacks low-end response, having to deal with inept BMW dealers for repairs, steering feel and lack of feedback (during street use).  The nav is archaic, but I knew this when I bought it...

Great Drivers Car — It Is a solid driver's car, very communicative and predictable at the limit. Very well balanced and forgiving with an intoxicating engine sound. Extremely reliable. Brakes could be improved by changing to aftermarket pads such as EBC yellow or similar compound brands.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Good handling, fantastic  engine, good looking vehicle, versatility a drivers car.

Cons: could be more fuel efficient.

Trying Too Hard To Be Everything To Everyone... — I owned my M3 Convertible for just about a year... I had heard from a lot of people how great the M series BMWs were, but I just couldn't agree... I think a lot of people are in love with the name, but in reality it isn't that great of a car... It is stuck between two worlds trying to be a luxury car and a sports car, so to me it doesn't do either one so well... I enjoyed it for the year I had it, but always felt something was missing... it was stiff in an attempt to be a sports car, so wasn't a comfortable daily driver... on the flip side, being larger adn trying to also be a luxury car, it wasn't stiif enough or powerful enough to be what I would concider a strong sports car...

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Handles well for its size...

Cons: Not really a sports car, not really a luxury car...
