Love This Car — Fantastic acceleration and good gas mileage. Absolutely no compromises. Handles great through the corners, setup for a little bit of understeer, but you can create oversteer with a little extra throttle. One of the best engines in the world...period.

Pros: Engine, Handling, Brakes, Interior

Cons: None, potentially will upgrade to the 550i wheels.

The Perfect Car For Someone Who Doesn't Want Another Suv Or Truck. —

My mom is currently leasing a 208 BMW 535xi sport wagon with a 6 speed manual and as someone who has been fortunate enough to have driven an E46 M3, been in a ride along in a highly modified Supra, and been in a few Porsche 911 Turbo's this car is surprisingly fun to drive. My mom is leasing this car with the sport package and the suspension is fairly stiff but the ride is not harsh at all. I've found myself on empty stretches of highway pushing this wagon into the 140mph range effortlessly. The N54 Twin Turbo in this car has plenty of power almost everywhere in the rev range. The boost from the turbos kick in down low in the 2000 rpm range and don't let off until well after 6,000 rpm's. It's very nice not to have to down shift in 6th gear to pass a slower car. I can't say enough about how great the mechanics in this car are, but it's a BMW, so you should expect the best. This is not the prettiest car ever built but it's nicer looking than most other sports wagons you will see on the road. In terms of interior the new E60/E61 5 series is not as traditional as the E39 which I am accustomed to. The interior is very nice in my opinion and the i-Drive is a very nice feature. If you can use an i-pod, you can use i-Drive, so I don't know why people dislike the system. All I can say is if you are trying to decide between an X5/X3 and something else, look at the 535xi. It has the same all weather abilities as an SUV with about the same storage capacity but appeals to those who don't want to drive an SUV and want something that is more like a car. For this, the %35xi Sport Wagon is the perfect solution.

Pros: Amazing Twin Turbo Motor, 6 speed manual, x-drive=all weather capability, hill assist, plenty of cargo space for most purposes

Cons: Not the prettiest car on the road

Ultimate Driving Sport Sedan — the new 300hp dual turbo engine is second to none in its class.....what a car. i miss the interior of my 2005 audi a6! Hate the I drive, (bmw needs to copy what audi and lexus did with their interface), ridiculous front cup holders...great ipod and nav system...has all the bells and whistles...very comy seats, great convience package with smart key

Pros: performance, handling, steering, transmission, outside design

Cons: I drive, cup holders, interior subpar with Audi

Kermit — This is a great car. One of the last driver's wagons on the road with a 6 speed manual! This is our weekend cruiser to Vermont or elsewhere. A great autobahn cruiser. We've had a few things go wrong with it - the wiring in the tailgate went bad and was replaced, a front suspension spring broke and blew a tire. I hope to drive this car for 10 more years.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Driving dynamics, solidity, amenities, perfect size.

Cons: Wish I'd splurged for the sport pkg.  And we DID buy an extended CPO warrantee from BMW from $2,500 which was completely worthless.

Good Quality Car — This is an amazing and comfortable car.Good safety and fun features. It runs smooth, has great pickup and excellent brakes. Fuel economy is surprisingly great: most of the times its around 24 miles per gallon. sound system is definitely better than most of the other cars I have. I-drive can take sometimes to learn. Front seats have many options in terms of adjustments. Labor and services from dealers are expensive.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: powerful, safe

Cons: expensive services from dealers

It Is The Ultimate Driving Experience — The overall car is great! The drive and acceleration are both awesome. This car is not functional for a growing family though. The lack of cargo space has been a issue. I would recommend everyone own a BMW at least Once!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very comfortable for my long Sales trips, Drivers controls are very easy to reach, A very quiet drive and Handles great!

Cons: Maintenance and Fuel Cost...

Overall It's A Great Car. — The parts are very high, and if you have to go to the dealer it's too pricey. I am lucky in that i know a master BMW mechanic that has a small operation and his prices are about half that of a dealer, so i would hunt around for a good mechanic because it will save you a lot. I haven't had anything that expensive go wrong with this car, so no complaints coming from my corner

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It handles like a sports car and for it's size it gets good gas mileage. For a 6 cylinder engine it has the power of a V-8 and is very adequate. I love the Sapphire black because it has so much more flavor than plain black.

Cons: The engine is a twin turbo, so it's a bit nosier than my previous 5 series that i owned. The black seats are a bit warm on a hot day, so it would be wise to put a cover over it for extended stay's.

Excellent — Wish I had of got Navigation. The car is truley eye appealing, stylish and drives like a sport car or family car according to how you want to go. The interior is very roomy, and comfortable up front and in the back seat with pleanty of leg room. The heated seats and 7 way power seats are great.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: very comfortable, drives excellent. Fuel mileage hwy and city runs 28+ average if driven Modestly.Always between 20 and 29 miles a gallon.

Cons: no navigation

Wha — I love BMW's, but this one has had too many recalls. BMW charges for stupid things like resetting the computer. Other then that I love the car and it is fun to drive and pass people with no problem. Bye

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The Power of BMW

Cons: Recalls
