Understated & Subtle Elegance — Good low range torque, slick and understated. Very good sport sedan with a solid V-8. Very quiet interior - definitely a head turner. Great exterior color and really nice looking wheels. iDrive takes some getting used to and the LED screen is a bit dated

Pros: good engine, great looking car

Cons: not a v-10 :-)  the iphone interface sucks

First 5 Series — Beautiful car, fun and comfortable to drive, lots of space. The 3 liter 6 is enough power to be fun, but not enough to get into trouble. Fit and finish inside are top- notch. It's a definite step up for me.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Handling, interior, space, engine

Cons: iDrive is a little unwieldy

Wins. — This car is great for an everyday user for short or long trips. It is very comfortable, safe, fun to drive, has very little interior noise, and gets good gas mileage. I recommend it to any and everyone. It is the ulitmate driving machine.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling is very good

Cons: It does not have seat coolers

Truly A Driving Machine.....with Some Slightly Above Average Maintenance Costs — Fun car to drive. If you're interested in a driving experience that includes both power and handling, this is the car for you. As intended, you will feel the road as the car is almost one with it. Enjoyable experience.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great handling; Smooth and Powerful engine; Built for handling winding roads at higher speeds.  Navigation and Bluetooth

Cons: Tire maintenance.  Front/Rear Parking sensors a nice feature, but would do better with a camera

Superb Sports Luxury Sedan — BMW 535xi is an amazing car for long road trips, getting around town as well as for snow and mountains. It is very spacious and comfortable but more sports-luxury than luxury comfort. Designed for spirited luxury cruising. Fast and a blast to drive.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: versatile, superb driver.  ultimate driving machine.

Cons: high performance requires more rigid maintenance

Ultimate Driving Machine For Sure! — I trust my families life with this car. I know she won't be left stranded and although the cost is high, I think it's dependibility and warantee of 4 yrs, 50, 000 miles bumper to bumper to include servicing is a beautiful thing!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This is my wife's car and she loves it.  I enjoy driving it as well.  It has great power, very smooth ride, and it's dependibility goes without saying!

Cons: You have to fork up alot of $$$ to get all the bells and whistles.  Remeber, BMW stands for Bring Money Withyou!

Great German Engineering — The BMW 550i is wonderful vehicle with great styling, performance and a size suitable for a family. So far reliability has been great, but maintenance cost has been on the high side. Overall a very good car that can't be beat in this class.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great looks, power, handling and prestige

Cons: cost

Beautiful Performance And Comfortable Vehicle. — I have nothing but praise for this car. I have had several 5 series and this is one is good as the rest. They have all been very reliable, well built, solid vehicles. What I really like about this one is the sport suspension and seats - fabulous. Enjoyable to drive and own.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Wonderful car!  The sports package makes this car a dream to drive.  The bolsters, lumbar support and thigh adjustment in sports seats is incredibly comfortable.  Always a pleasure to drive and fun.  The average MPG of 24.5 is a wonderful plus.  In summary main pros:  German engineering, comfort, performance, above average MPG, certified warranty til April 2014 or 100K, Steptronic smooth transmission, headlights and beauty of the car.

Cons: Maintenance costs higher than domestic vehicles but well worth it to drive this terrific ar.

Practical Yet Fun To Drive — wish it had a SMG transmission. shifts slowly in manual mode, but handles well and has good acceleration. Has excellent cargo space especially with rear seats folded down. The I drive is intuitive counter to popular criticism. I have a CPO and the warranty is excellent.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: very good in all weather conditions, handles well, very comfortable

Cons: run flat tires
