Toyota Hilux Sr5 — The HiLux SR5 is an all rounder, it has the space in the front and in the back row to sit comfortably on long trips as well as the tray space o store everything you can imagine. It has the pickup of a v6 to get you out of traffic when needed. Excellent handling and even better turning circle. The only down fall is that is not design for city car parks and requires that spot with a little more space on either side for easier entry and exit access.

Pros: All rounder

Cons: ???

Beautiful Work Horse. — This is my Dad's brand spankin' new work car. It is a 2008 Toyota Hilux SR 4X2 with the 4.0L V6 and 5-speed auto gearbox. She is a very, very quiet car and is rather easy to speed in. Has a nice amount of power at a factory 175kw and certainly shows on the highway. The torque is very nice as it sinks you into your seat with a bit of stick. It has a very nice take off speed for its size and will out-run most standard sedans. Have red light raced commodores, falcons and lexus' and have beat them all. Its a very quick car for its size thats for sure. It handles rather well for it's size. The elevated ride gives you a good view of the road ahead which is also assisted by the large windscreen. The tub is nice and large which is expected from a ute and the canopy gives that added room and protection.

Pros: Very good looks.
Quiet cabin.
Ride height.
Practicality.
Very powerful and fast.
Very comfortable.
A lot of cup holders (14 in total)
Easy to burn rubber.

Cons: Speakers aren't of the finest quality but that's easily fixed.
Side cup holders can cause reflection of drink and is a bit annoying when trying to look in rear view mirrors.
Canopy has a siding window facing the front of car but rear cabin window doesn't so it just leads to nothing.
Easy to burn rubber.

Doesn't Drive Like A Bakkie — very plain, but solid interior could add a bit of luxury extras, but i presume it's a bakkie and not a car very good exterior muscular look very good performance very happy with this vehicle

Pros: enough space inside
very powerful and economical fuel consumption

Cons: nothing so far, except
it's not designed to do to much 4x4 on rough terrains
not design to tie down a load on the back
wasn't that happy with my first service at the dealer

It's Perfect For A Worker's Truck, But Nothing To Show Off In. — Performance - Acceleration is ok, takes about 15 seconds to get to 100 kph at about half pedal to the floor, brakes are responsive, handles good, but really tends to throw itself all over the road at high and slow speeds, depending on how bad the road is. Build quality - No rattles so far for this three year old girl, but there's been some losing of plastic parts, like cupholder caps and such. The whole interior is really plasticy, but other than that, it's a nice place to be. No rust on the body so far, except the brake discs rot like crazy, but if you are able to give them a wash of warm water after every trip on winters, that is avoidable. Appearance - It's a gorgeous car in my opinion, very aerodynamic nose, splits air like it's nothing. Rear end might seem i little boring and similar to a Ford. Cost of Ownership - It's very, very economical for a car it's size - currently we're getting about 7,5 l/100km from the turbodiesel. Maintenance costs next to nothing. Fun Factor - Going to be honest here - no, it isn't. It is definitely no Sunday Funday adventure car, it does what a basic car is supposed to without leaving the driver stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's economical, comfortable, very practical. Perfect for every day use, if you live in the country side.

Cons: If you're looking for a fast truck, then this is not the car for you.
