A full redesign signifies the beginning of the sixth generation of Toyota's top seller, the Camry. Along with many new features, the 2007 sedan will add interior room, thanks to a 2 inch wheelbase extension. The front and rear tracks have also expanded by an inch. Changes for other dimensions are marginal. All Camrys are now packaged with 16 inch wheels.
The CE is Camry's base trim level, and options like Bluetooth, navigation, and premium JBL audio are not available on this model. Still, the CE is well equipped for the price, including a CD player, cruise control, power locks, and power windows. Toyota will also include their safety features like Brake Assist, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and Stability Control at no charge.
The base Camry will only be offered with a four cylinder engine. A new more powerful V-6 is available on the higher trim levels. The 2.4 liter engine used here will provide the 3300 pound sedan with 158 horsepower and 161 pound feet of torque. Toyota adds the TRD Variable Valve Timing + intelligence system which makes better use of engine power by regulating the intake camshaft and camshaft drive interplay. VVT-i also lowers emissions and improves fuel economy. The 5-speed automatic transmission version of the CE has an EPA rating of 24/33 mpg.

This new model Camry will commence the mid-size sedan' s sixth generation. For 2007, exterior styling is freshened and interior space increases. The upgrade from the CE to the LE trim will add more standard features and options availability. Chrome-tipped dual exhaust, chrome interior accents, keyless entry, and a power driver's seat are added as standard equipment. Options now include a JBL audio system with a six-disc in dash CD changer, Bluetooth, moon roof package, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass.
The Camry LE is available with both power plant options. The 2.4 liter DOHC inline four is aided by Variable Valve Timing + intelligence technology. This TRD creation increases horsepower, improves fuel efficiency, and lowers emissions. The engine will generate 158 horsepower and 161 pound feet of torque. All Camrys earn a low emissions rating thanks to VVT-i.
Toyota has also improved the Camry's handling capabilities, rethinking the spring rates and suspension settings to provide a more responsive feel. The overall ride quality remains as balanced as before. A long list of standard safety features includes seven airbags (with full length side curtains), Brake Assist, Stability Control, and electronic Brakeforce Distribution. Toyota's Vehicle Stability Control/traction control system is optional.

The 2007 Toyota Camry commences the sixth generation of America's top-selling sedan. The new Camry adds more interior room, and a more athletic and elegant appearance. The SE Camrys offer a more upscale trim finish than CE or LE, but they are still a notch below the XLE in amenities and price. SE trim adds sport-oriented features like special fabric, a three spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, blue Optitron meters, side rocker panel moldings, and fog lamps. Other sport finishes include special blackout multi-reflector halogen headlights and a blackout front grille. All SEs are equipped with 17 inch alloy wheels.
This Camry is available with both engines and all three transmissions, but the manual can only be paired with the four cylinder engine. The standard power plant is Toyota's VVT-i 2.4 liter inline four. The DOHC engine provides 158 horsepower and generating 161 pound-feet of torque. It is paired here with a five speed electronically controlled transmission. The Variable Valve Timing maximizes engine power, while reducing emissions and boosting fuel efficiency.
The SE finish allows a myriad of new options to be added. The sport appearance can be enhanced by a special leather seating package and a moon roof. At this tier, buyers can also add Bluetooth and a DVD-based navigation system.

The Japanese automaker will continue to build on the reputation for quality and reliability that has made the Camry the best selling sedan in American for a decade.
Toyota complements the Camry's more athletic appearance with new more powerful engine. The 3.5 liter DOHC V-6 provides 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. It is enough power to send the 3300 pound sedan from 0 to 60 mph in about six and a half seconds. In addition to a 16 valve per cylinder design, the V-6 will also utilize Dual Variable Valve Timing + intelligence technology to manage both the in take and exhaust camshafts. VVT-i produces more engine power, while lowering emissions and improving fuel efficiency.
Also new for 2007 is an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission, with intelligence (ECT-i). The V-6 LE will earn a ULEV II ultra low emissions rating, and achieve 30 mpg mileage on the highway.
Upgrading to the LE trim will add standard features like a chrome-tipped dual exhaust, interior chrome trim finishings, and power seats. A premium JBL audio system with MP3 capability is now available as an option.

In 2007, the Toyota Camry enters its sixth generation with fresh exterior styling and a more spacious cabin. Toyota has worked tirelessly over the last decade to improve the safety and eco-friendliness of their cars, and the Camry was already the best selling sedan in America during most of that effort.
The SE trim will give the Camry a performance-focused effect, adding fog lamps, larger 17-inch alloy wheels, and more aggressive side moldings. Special SE options include the Sport Leather Package (with heated front seats and mirrors) and the Sport Convenience Package (Homelink transceiver, auto-dimming mirrors, and compass). A premium JBL audio system with an in-dash CD changer, DVD-based navigation, and Bluetooth are also available.
This SE will be able to boast sport sedan performance, thanks to the addition of Toyota's powerful new V-6. This 3.5 liter DOHC power plant will provide the Camry SE with 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. The V-6 will utilize Toyota's Dual Variable Valve Timing + intelligence system to harness maximum engine potential, increase fuel economy and lower emissions. The V-6 Camry will achieve EPA marks of 22/31, and earn an ultra low emissions rating. A 0 to 60 time of just over six seconds will add to the sporting experience.
Toyota aims to improve both handling and overall ride quality with the addition of a new suspension system, larger tires, and a wider track. The SE V-6 will also include a new electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission.
