Agile And Fast! — This car is a thrill to drive. Light and nimble and able to make efficient use of its 295hp. The Cayman S can handle anything you can throw at it with style and ease, and can make a bad driver perform like a pro! It will keep up to the more powerful 911 on the track and costs much less. Although the suspension is tight, on city streets it is much smoother than most sports cars of this caliber, and handles bumps and dips quite well. The seats are comfortable and the interior is clean and well put together. The car is quiet at highway speeds, except for the beautiful sounds of the engine, when the gas peddle becomes your volume control. For extened trips, the Cayman S has two trunks! The one in the front is large and deep, able to handle even the biggest luggage bags. The other, located under the hatchback, will handle two golf bags and then some. In the three years I've owned the car I have done nothing except regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance. Not bad for a car that has seen many long days at the track.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: -Superb handling from proven mid-engined design, steering is telepathic in nature
-World famous Porsche brakes keep cool under hard track driving and able to stop on a dime
-Acceleration that puts you in your seat
-Beautiful looking car with classic Porsche lines
-Hatchback design gives you two trunks! Plenty of luggage space for such a small car

Cons: Handles better than a 911, thats why Porsche won't give it more power
Should have waited for PDK

If You Can Afford This Car, You Can't Afford Not To Own It! — Currently my favorite car on the market. Handles better than any other car I've driven, and has nearly enough power to compete with the 911. With the new option of a limited slip differential, this is likely the most fun you can have in a car. Born for back road twisties, the 49/51 ratio provides a nearly unnoticeable understeer until you really cut in and start to slide the back end. The transitions are very manageable and you get a great feel from the car that lets you know that you're approaching its limits without just crushing you with its might. And it's got a decent sized trunk and hood storage for actual luggage!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Power, Handling, Fun

Cons: Cost

Cayman S — The fastest thing I've ever owned... I love it! The handling, with the mid-mounted engine makes for a perfect drive,. You always feel like you're driving the car, not the other way around. The tiptronic gearbox has taken some getting used to. My foot misses the clutch motion when I go to overtake.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's fast

Cons: I miss the convertible

My Cayman S — Best car I have ever owned. Hope I get to keep it after we have kids. I have never experienced a car that handles like the Cayman S. Nothing beats mid-engine configuration. Engine can have a bit more low end grunt. Rock solid build quality, as expected of Porsche. Quite fuel efficient too, averaging 19.6 mpg.

Pros: Handling, Looks, Build Quality, Fuel Efficiency

Cons: Low-end power

Cayman — Car is low on torque but if you keep the tach higher then 5000 rpm it is unsurpassed. Makes AZ roads fun to drive on. Mechanically, the car has been delivered with some defects that can be attributed to the first model year of the 2.7 cayman. AC and Transmission have both had problems. Service intervals lead to higher cost for regular maintenance, but nothing worse then BMW or Audi have charged me with past vehicles. Overall handling is unbelievable. There may be cars that can go faster from stop to 60 and even in a straight line, but once you hit the twisty bits of road this car shows its true colors.

Pros: Performance - Fun to drive

Cons: Couple of manufacturer defects and mechanical problems have plagued an otherwise wonderful car

Okay — The car was not everything that you would expect but was still a nice car, but not my favorite. The performance is fun but even my R32 feels like it has way more than this, and that is a heavy hatch, not a light Porsche. In total, I would rather drive my R than this.

Pros: Sporty

Cons: Not what you expected

Porsche Cayman S — Performance - Great acceleration, unbelievable handling. It eats corners for lunch. Build Quality - I've owned it for two years and its been in for service once! Appearance - One of my favorite cars on the road. Cost of Ownership - Gas is reasonable (unless you're pushing it) Fun Factor - 15 out of 10

Pros: Great looking wonderful performance

Cons: Loud interior - true sports car loses some luxury finishes

For The Money, Great Car — For starting at such a low price for a high performance car, this car is amazing. You get performance, you get looks, you get everything starting at only 50,000$!

Pros: Low Price, performance

Cons: Fairly common compared to a 911

...there Is No Substitute! — Nimble, quick, has the special "Borat" installed "magnet" (you know what I'm talking about if you saw the movie)

Pros: Like a go cart on steroids

Cons: Get a good radar detector
