Its Sharp And A Good Buy — This is a good stylish car by GM. It looks smaller than it is which says alot for the design. There's more than enough room inside for 4 adults, though storage space is limited. the3.5 V6 power is more than enough for the city and highway though its no dragster. Fuel economy is ok i usually see around 18/27. Reliability has been great so far with over 22,000 miles. not very sporty but it can do curves and steering is a lot better than say a Toyota Camry. Could be a little more refined over bumps but it never feels giggly or unstable and the ride is never harsh. visibility isn't good so watch out and the trunk pop is poorly designed. Pontiac G6, its not the best or the worst car, its simply a solid car.

Pros: looks great, roomy interior, decent engine and trans. 17 in wheels, reliable so far. the weight of the steering is good, great value.

Cons: No MP3 CD stereo or MP3 connect, isolation over bumps could be better, needs better rotors and brakes. interior materials could be better, poor visibility.

My First And Last Pontiac —

I was thrilled with this car for the first 30K miles. The honey moon is over now. The Good: the car is inexpensive to purchase, to own and to insure. My car has the 2.4L, I do a lot of highway driving and it does fine, a little underpowered on steep hills, but I live in south Texas so thats not really an issue for me. The car is a very pretty car, the exterior is well styled. The Bad: The interior is made of cheap plastic pieces, not unlike most new cars. The fuse box cover is attached with velcro, no screws, no little poppy things, just two strips of velcro superglued to the cover that stick to the carpet. The pull handles on the door panels (not the door handle) have faded to a lovely shade of grey on all of the doors except the driver door. No one has ever sat in the back left seat but even that handle is discolored. The Ugly: This is a really pretty car, but I do a have a few issues. The chrome belt moldings are just water collection devices, they collect the water during a wash or a rain and they gradually leak it out so you always have a long water spot, the body side moldings do the same thing, but a little faster, you can usually stand there with a towel long enough to get the water wiped up. The only way I have found to fix this is to get an air hose blower and blow the water out from the moldings and the center brake light in the deck lid. I went a little heavy on the bad stuff, but for the price this is a decent car, I just expected a little too much from GM.

Typical Pontiac-ugly Red Dash, Overweight And A Drag Racer — Well pontiac hasn't redesigned the dashboard since 1984. Same ugly red and more of it than my bonneville in a smaller space. I wanted to crash the car, but it wasnt mine. doesnt turn well, the defroster sucks. long wheelbase looks kinda silly and probably hurts the aforementioned turning radius.

Pros: If youve liked pontiac for 20-30 years, nothing has changed

Cons: its a pontiac.

Overall Price Compared To Features Good. Concerned With Start Off Hesitation — Like the convertable feature and the car seems to be a real head turner with the top down. Good performance but don't like the accelerator/transmission hesitation.

Smokin Hot!!! — I got my 2007 G6 in January 07. I am so pleased. I had been eyeing the G6 since it came out. I finally was able to purchase it (Smiling). My former car was a Pontiac Sunfire. It looks INCREDIBLE and drives like a dream. The gas mileage is incredible. The only thing negative that I have to say about it is the headrests in the rear are kind of a nuisance when looking in your rear view mirror. I'll survive :) I am a proud driver of A SMOKIN VEHICLE. It rocks!!!

Here Comes The Sun! —

My husband and I bought this vehicle to be able to cruize with the top down when we felt like it. Comfortable ... but not cushy ride. Seats are leather but a stiffer leather (not like our Infiniti QX56). If I have to pick up the kids from school it's difficult to get 3 kids and their back packs into the car quickly or comfortably. Tight squeeze. We did have it in the shop because it seemed to be jerking or catching as we would accelerate. That was fixed relatively quick. Cost of repair was covered by the warranty. We paid for extra warranty when we purchased because of it being a convertible - we didn't want to have to pay for any repairs on the mechanisms of the convertible top - which we haven't had to so far. That works great! It is perfect for what we bought it for. The top retracts into the trunk so it looks sleek when in the convertible mode. Gas mileage is fair for a smaller vehicle. Turning radius is terrible. It will do a Wide U turn - but if you have to make a sharp turn into a small parking spot, you may have to back up and pull forward. I do feel safe in this vehicle as far as braking and handling and it is an awesome vehicle to drive at the beach!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great vehicle to get out and just drive on a sunny day with the top down.

Cons: When sitting in the back seat, it's difficult to see out the windows if you are under 5' tall.   Definitely not a car pool car - getting in and out of back seat difficult.

Many Many Positive Compliments And Head Turning —

I took delivery of my black 2007 G6 GT Coupe on May 04,2007. So its only been 3 weeks and about 500 miles, but so far the car has been a dream. The exterior is awesome and sleek. The interior is great looking also, even though I would soften up some of the hard plastic on the dash. Chrome Wheels make the car POP! I have read some reviews of the 2006 coupes, and it seems so far that GM may have fixed many of the minor problems that plagued it. Like newer and different engine for the GT Coupe, no water leaks from the sunroof, and 24 more horsepower in the GT. The ride IMHO is pretty smooth. I wish GM would do better than the 4 speed auto in the GT model. I dont think any car is perfect, but I do think if people give this car a chance, they will be pleasantly surprised. This is no Grand Am people. I got mine for a great price also. Brand New for just under $24K(that inlcuded tax, tags, and any other fees), loaded. Only thing I didnt have in mine is the Onstar(didnt want), power pedals and XM radio(I installed aftermarket). Also comes standard with 6 air bags now. Great value
