Wished I Hadn't Bought This Car — Horrible experience with my 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5S It is currently on its 3rd transmission, 2nd set of airbags and 2nd brake system. The car has horrible road noise along with a whining from the engine that the dealer "can't hear". DO NOT BUY A NISSAN ALTIMA.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Don't buy it

Cons: Transmission and build quality are HORRIBLE

Great Starter Car — this is a great car that is great for driving anywhere. This is my second Altima, both of which have been terrific in mileage, performance and look. It has OK pickup on the 4 cylinder and I am sure offers better pickup on the V6

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Safe

    Cons: I want something sportier

It's Great. — I don't like the arm rest on the doors because they are not made well. For a 4 banger it has some torgue. The lines on the car are really nice. He had a few minor problems with it, but I would buy another.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's fun to drive for a big sedan

    Cons: can't think of any.

Good For Transportation But Not For Performance Driving — The first altima I have liked, the shape is very nice on the eyes. The shifter made from polymer makes you think your going to brake the shifter during quick shifting. The tires are loud and they break traction alot when starting above 2k rpms. The stereo is good the controls are easy and it has an Aux. output.

    Pros: push start

    Cons: tires

Altima - Better Than Most, But Could Be Improved Upon — The manueverability is not sporty. I always feel like there's a blind spot out the back passenger windows. You would also think that a hybrid would get better mileage than this. I have tracked about every ounce of gas I've put into it, and I show myself getting 29 mpg overall. I guess that isn't too bad compared to say, an escalade. Also note that a brand new hybrid is a target for every idiot to slam their inferior car doors into, and make lots of dings in your side panels. The stereo tuning knob is just far enough out of reach to force you to lean forward eveytime you want to change the station. Rain falls into even the slightest cracked window on wet dats. Stepping on the gas pedal from a complete stop usually forces the car to leap forward, but with the hybrid engine, there is a moment of hesitation - presumably that allows the gas engine to start and kick into gear. The passenger compartment is a little noisy. Better insulation would improve this. Overall a better car than most, but these are the things that I think could be improved.

    Pros: Good Mileage

    Cons: Nothing Major

My Altima Rocks! — Accelerates great - no shifting with the CVT! Love the way the interior is laid out - it's a great commuter car for my 90 mile rt commute 4 days/week. Tons of leg room for front seat passenger, which I love! Back seat is spacious and the trunk is awesome! Fun to drive? Absolutely! Cheap to maintain also - I've gotten up to 40 mpg on my Altima, so am VERY happy with it's performance. I love to drive it!

Pros: Fun, easy to drive, great gas mileage, CVT rocks - no shifting on acceleration

Cons: My husband says the tires are loud - I don't notice though

2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 Sl — I traded in my Ford Mustang (*cry*) for the Altima and haven't been disappointed. It has CVT (continuously variable transmission) which makes you feel like you are never shifting, great power for a V6 (best in its class), and an assortment of nice features. My car was a dealer demo and is fully loaded. 6 CD changer, bluetooth, XM, and navigation system all make it nice to drive. Only problem I have had with it is the seat seems a little too lose but the dealer insists it's fine... might take it to another nissan dealer. Overall it's a great midsized sedan with new technology built into it. The best feature IMO is the push button start.

Pros: good fuel economy, nice performance and handleing, nice features

Cons: can't really think of any

2007 Nissan Altima 3.5sl — This is a great car. Great HP and pickup. The CVT transmission is awesome. Never feel a shift. Get about 23mpg city which is great for a V6, especially the way I drive. Very fun to drive and looks sexy. Had to replace the driver door seal, but it got worn from hitting it every time I got in the car. Other than that it's been great.

Pros: great gas mileage, smooth CVT, good pick up

    Cons: hard seats
