Weve had a 2008 Lexus RX-400h for about 10 years now, with over 91,000 miles on it an no major repairs. We just recently replaced a leaking radiator but apart from routine maintenance (tires, brakes, timing belt ... ) everything else has been maintenance free. The car drives very well (noticeably better than my 2000 RX-300 with a tighter turning radius) and we get combined about 27 MPG. Being an older model it is missing features such as Apple AirPlay and collision avoidance sensors. But if you can find a relatively low mileage model (under 100k miles) for about $10k and no record of collisions, its a great value in a quality used SUVs. BTW, my beloved RX-300 has almost 300k miles on it and so far no major drive train repairs. I keep putting off delivery of my Tesla Model Y thinking the RX-300 will die some day ... but not yet!

The car is well made and the drives as expected for a Lexus,. It’s quiet and the ride is plush for an SUV. Hybrid operation is superlative and will delight if it’s your first experience.

It has what Im looking for in an SUV. Hybrid for cost and efficiency. Toyota is the best manufacturer for the past twenty years. Only some cosmetic issues along the way. It can last for 100Ks miles with good maintenance. Lexus gives a luxury interior and more safety features. The styling holds up over time.

Great Small Suv — Very nice handling and performance. Luxury interior as you would expect from a Lexus. easy to park and high enough to be able to see comfortably when driving. I recommend this for singles or couples. Not the best car for families with small children. It is too high for the little ones to get in themselves and the backseat is very tight for 3 car seats. The style has become a bit dated, and there are more appealing SUV designs out there now. But I will definitely consider another Lexus when we have passed the mini-van stage.

Pros: Luxurious, great fuel economy, reliable

Cons: expensive, and a bit too small for large families

One Of The Best Cars I Have Driven, But Costly — This the ultimate car, a bit pricy but worth it. The car handles fantastically when needed and is able to be controlled when needed. the car costs about 55,000 to buy new AWD is fantastic and is not annoying when you start to slide. A light pops up but no noise that makes you think theres something wrong more than there already is.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Fantastic car and a great drive

Cons: cost

Unique Hybrid Luxury Suv — Why should hybrid technology be limited to cars that are already economical? Here it helps significantly to make a relatively heavy and powerful luxury cruiser much more economical than it would otherwise be. This rig is beautiful and has a boulevard ride but has the high ground clearance and commanding driver view of an SUV. It is medium sized by SUV standards, easily seating five with full luggage, or the back seats fold nearly flat and it can become a cargo carrier. If that isn't room enough, it has a roof rack and a trailer hitch.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Jet black with minimal trim is very attractive.
High build quality and reliability typical of Toyota/Lexus
Well appointed interior and cargo area with lots of convenience features
Powerful but with good fuel economy about 8 mpg higher than comparable non-hybrids

Cons: Very soft ride leads to cornering roll and brake dip that can be disconcerting
Nav system has multiple zones requiring manual switch between them
No auxiliary audio input, and bluetooth won't connect with music.
