Great Offroading Vehicle! — We took this car on some really tough offroad trails in Colorado and it did great! Would've been better w/ a transmission cooler & V8.

Pros: Very reliable, great offroader

Cons: Stock model won't cut it.

Jeep Srt8 - Simply One Of The Best Performance Buys Availalble! — Just bought a new 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. I love it! The engine performance is intoxicating. The engine note is incredible and the seats are the most comfortable I've experienced in a car under $100K. This is one very powerful and fun vehicle. Enjoy!

Jeep Loves You Back. — I really liked the oveall experience in this car. Definitely no regrets but lot of glad moments. This ride made me look like a king during the worst snow storm from NJ to Mass. Solid Jeep! Long rides were fun and never had trouble with the car so far. Running strong like new after 130K miles. This is my second grand cherokee. Previous one i had was a 1999 V8. Liked the later better.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great car.

Cons: Dealers.

Good Looking, Comfortable And Dependable Hauler. — I think that this has been one of my better choices in automobiles. Now that I am 70+ it is getting more difficult to get in and out of a low car but not this one. The newer versions have more features and that is what I will be trading up to in a couple of years. This car is a nice combination of hauler and luxury sedan and suits my wife and I very well. I some ways it reminds me of the old Checker cars.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: For the price a used Jeep Grand Cherokee especially with one of the better packages like the Limited is an excellent value and an extremely useful car with comfort and capacity to haul.

Cons: Gas mileage is low but my car is a V8 4 wheel and could pull just about anything going.

Only Vehicle To Own For Rough Winters —

I purchased a 2007 Grand Cherokee Limited in 2009 with 25,000 miles on it. It's now up to 91,000 and still looks and runs great. With the exception of the water pump (see below), I have done nothing else but preventive regular maintenance you have to do with any car. Gas, Tires, Oil, Transmission check at 70,000 --Drain, Flush, etc. We have rough Winters here in New England, and this is the vehicle to own. With 4 wheel drive and high clearance it goes through 2ft or more of snow like it is not there. Very stable ride, smooth, quiet, sits up nice. My wife and I so happy with this one, I sure we will buy another Jeep Grand Cherokee in the future. I do my own maintenance as I'm an engineer and somewhat mechanically inclined. The Jeep is exceptionally easy to work on. Just buy the service manual at any auto parts store and you can do anything on your vehicle. I had to replace the water pump twice, luckily the pump came with a warranty so it was free. I think it might have failed the second time because I did not back flush the system when I replaced it, so some debris from the first pump probably damaged the second pump. We have had a couple of other annoying issues however. Ever since we replaced the tires the low tire pressure sensors give false low pressure indications all the time, and some times the driver side window switch seems to not work and you have to press it multiple times.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: 4x4
Leather
Classic Jeep Appearance

Cons: Power window sticks sometimes
Readings from tire pressure sensors is un reliable
