Well, perhaps people who ride in the Odyssey have dry throats from whooping about their comfort and happiness, and they need 1.989 drinks each. There is plenty of standard equipment to talk (and whoop) about, so why don't we?
Most important is the list of safety features. This runs from ABS with power-assist to a full array of air bags (including side-curtain units for all three rows) to Honda's Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control. Even a tire-pressure monitoring system is onboard to make sure things are kosher where the Odyssey meets the ground; proper tire pressure is crucial to both safety and fuel efficiency.
Comfort and convenience are paramount, too, and interior climate is taken care of with separate front and rear air conditioning. The seats are supportive and well-cushioned, and there are power windows for the first and second rows. Handy storage areas dot the Odyssey�¢â�¬â�¢s interior; check out the bin under the second-row seat.
Every LX also comes with cruise control, a retractable center tray table (a great companion for all those cup-holders), and MacPherson struts. The minivan, which has earned a ULEV-2 rating for its ultra-low emissions, features dual sliding doors for ease of entry and exit.

Spend a little extra on the Odyssey EX and you'll get a little more equipment - and perhaps a lot more convenience. Foremost, the manual sliding doors found on the base model are upgraded to power, which is a great help, especially with passengers who are very young or old.
On the outside you will notice roof rails (with a full load of road-trippers, you'll need this for cargo) and good-looking alloy wheels. And the heated power side mirrors will be a blessing on icy or snowy days.
On steamy days you'll bow to the upgraded air conditioning system, which has dual automatic controls for the front and manual control for the rear. Second-row passengers won't be sideswiped by Old Sol, as their windows come with integrated sunshades.
Everyone's ears will enjoy the 6-speaker audio system, complete with 6-CD, in-dash changer; it's ready for your XM Satellite Radio subscription. Steering wheel-mounted controls are at the fingertips of the driver, who also enjoys an 8-way power adjustment mechanism on his seat.
The EX is a very safe vehicle to ride in, thanks to its full complement of air bags. This includes side-curtain units (with rollover sensors) for all three rows. It also comes with ABS, stability assist, and traction control.
Another great standard feature of the Odyssey EX is Homelink, a system that integrates your residential security/entry system into one remote control.

It might stand for leather, too, as that's one of the standard features on this upscale minivan. Yes, that leather can be found on the heated seats and the steering wheel. A standard power moonroof adds even more pleasantness to the atmosphere.
Of course, feeling confident in your vehicle's safety is the ultimate luxury, and the Odyssey supports that with a complete list of lifesaving equipment. There are front air bags as well as side-curtain units for all three rows of seating. But your chances of a collision are smaller thanks to ABS (with brake assist), stability control, and traction control.
The EX-L is friendly toward the environment. Its Variable Cylinder Management engine technology reduces fuel consumption at cruising speeds or during light acceleration by shutting down the back 3 cylinders when their power is not necessary. It's also rated as a ULEV-2, meaning it qualifies as an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle.

The absolute ultimate in Honda minivans is the Touring Edition of the Odyssey. This tony taxi packs in the features to make the travel part of the road trip almost as enjoyable as the vacation itself.
Additions from the EX-L trim include run-flat Michelin PAX tires, a technology that assures safety in case of a sudden flat (the tire can be driven an additional 125 miles post-flat). Added to the full slate of safety equipment already on the Odyssey, these tires make driving even more worry-free. Along the way, the deluxe tire pressure-monitoring system will keep the driver informed of changes in any of the tires.
Everyone's comfort is enhanced with separate climate control for each row of seating.
The Touring Edition also adds fog lights, power-adjust pedals, a premium audio system with XM Satellite Radio, and a convenient power tailgate.
Storage gets more than enough attention, with 17 cup-holders (no comment), a removable center console in the second row, and an under-seat storage area with - of all things - a Lazy Susan. There are also roof rails ready to accept cargo when needed.
And how can we forget, for the kids' sake, the standard DVD Rear Entertainment System? Sad to say, car bingo is a thing of the past, and the young ones may never again sing "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall."
