07 Ford Ranger — Truck has good power. But not built for a road course lots of body. Quite tippy. As for the build quality I would say it's good though I did have some lose trim. Over all a good looking truck and fun to drive.

Pros: Good looking truck and fun to drive.

Cons: 4.0l does not get good gas milage

Nice Truck — I really like this truck, I cannot speak for all Ranger, but I really liked this one. It was my first truck and I loved it but had to sell it. It had: K&N Intake Flowmaster Exhaust Body Lift Rhino Liner the list goes on and on

Pros: Good off road and in snow

Cons: Gas Mileage

We All Need A Daily Driver — this is actually the real workhorse of the household.while the mustang and impala are comfy in the garage together,my ranger is the one that works hard.it gets me to work, hauls everything i need and being a 4x4 i can go anywhere.it is a great truck since it is a compact truck, easy to drive and is fun

Pros: 4x4,compact size for tight parking lots and trails,BUILT FORD TOUGH,very quick with the 4.0l .

Cons: a little hard on gas, softer tires to improve the ride,

It Was David's — It was a good truck. A ton of memories in it. Not a bad truck if you want to drive a truck.

Pros: Not hard to drive and it isn't too big.

Cons: I am not a truck person

Transmission Slips Then Slams In Gear — when taking off from a stop it reves up then slams into gear. Revers seems to be worse. It only does it every now and then.the dealer can not duplicate the problem as it only happens once in a while. They hooked it up to the computer and it come up good threw all shifting.Ford wont replace the trans they will only fix it when they can find the problem.Problem is the cant find the problem.Unbeleivable what can you suggest

Good Truck ,awesome Dealer Fundy Ford Middleton N.s. —

I purchased a new 2007 ranger 4-door sport this week from Fundy Ford sales in Middleton Nova Scotia. The sales team was very helpful and seemed to work well together. The first impression of the vehicle was a good one .I was impressed with the good but solid ride quality as well as the abundance of power for a small truck. The fit and finish is second to none , no squeeks ,rattles or odd noises.Ive owned a new Toyota and like this one almost as much, probably more when you factor in the price difference. The sales team at Fundy Ford had all accessories installed and ready to go even though I called mid day the day before to ask them to under coat as well as add the electronic rust proofing device. They did so and the truck was ready and polished the next day when I arrived a half hour early to pick it up.The dealer really can make or break the experence of buying a new vehicle.Mine made it pleasurable.I have put about 550 kms on now and love it.The only annoiance I have is that i hate the process involved in removing and replacing the tonneau cover .It takes too long and is a general pain ,I'm getting rid of it and getting a TruXedo .The tonneau in my only complaint.

Ranger Stx Faults And Delights. —

I ordered a Ford Ranger STX with the extended cab minus the rear door option and left out the jump seats. I like the truck except for the cheap plastic parts which are failure prone. The center console in mine has completely failed with a center crack transverse to the part which renders it unable to remain in position. Both the upper and lower portion has the crack and I can't see any method of making it stronger or less susceptible to cracking. The front air dam is what lead us to want this model when we saw one in late 2006. However we have found it is weakly attached and at low temperatures is highly susceptible to vinyl beakage rendering the part unable to remain in a position where it looks acceptale. The bucket seats aren't all that comfortable but are acceptable. The seat belt tends to twist and run under making it upside down and difficult to return to the correct position due to the tight clearance of the belt where it goes through the buckle. Gas mileage using the cruise control is about 26 MPH. Performance is about equal to our 2008 Mustang which both have the 6 cylinder engine and similar performance characteristics. The Ranger isn't as aerodynamic as the Mustang getting slightly less gas milage.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Decent milage, adequate power, quiet and comfortable.

Cons: Cheap and not well designed plastic trim parts
