Excellent And Clean Car — Just trying to upgrade to a newer model suburban. My family is Suburban lover and will continue to be for a long time. Once you sit and drive and especially loooong drive, you will never think of any other car on a highway.

Pros: Great Family Car and certified preowned

Cons: In City Gas can become expensive, if you have too many low speed stop and go

Good Overall Vehicle But Stay Away From 2007, 2008 — Love the towing capabilities, lots of room but the entire drive train has been replaced. Stay away from 2007, 2008 model years. Once you hit 100,000 miles the repairs can be very expensive. I have owned 2 other suburbans a 2002 and 2005 and did not have any major problems. I would recommend any other model year.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Lots of rom, great towing, lots of room and many options

Cons: Poor reliability with power train

Wonderful Luxury, Storage, Power And Dependability — I especially like the remote start, liftgate and rear back-up camera. Although my personal favorite is heated leather seats. It rides very comfortable on long trips and is great for those larger purchases where you may need a pickup truck but can fit in the back without outside elements determining your timeframe. Overall I would strongly recommend you take a serious look and compare why you should not get this vehicle. There will strong favorites that this vehicle has to tip you over the top should you be debating. (And by the way, you look much better driving this than a minivan!)

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The Suburban is the sister car to the GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade ESV.  The LTZ package on the Suburban has all the bells and whistles without the extra thousands you pay for the others.  I love these cars (as I ha ve had one for the past 12yrs.)  It is a wonderful family car or great to haul things.  Plenty of cargo with so many extras.  I would strongly suggest this vehicle if you are looking for a third row SUV that has plenty of storage space as well as comfort and luxury.

Cons: The only real con is the fuel consumption but with any large vehicle you will have that so it is nothing that comes unexpected.  The only other thing is that for some reason they didn't put vanity mirrors on the visors as in previous models???  Something that is miniumal to the overall reasons for purchasing the vehicle.

Love Suburbans/tahoes/yukons - Keep Swapping For Same Vehicle, Newer Model. — Overall for space, capacity, comfort and power this is the perfect vehicle. It is a wonderful family car without looking lke you are in a mommy mobile. It is great for hiding gifts in as well as transporting large items (furniture) or bulk shopping.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Remote start, remote liftgate (especially when raining or hands full), heated leather seats (front and rear) and tons of storage. Also has towing package with plenty of power.

Cons: It is perfect for the entire family as well as any road trips/vacation however the fuel economy is compromised. (But totally worth it for the room and comfort).

2007 Suburban K1500 4x4 5.6 Flex Fuel — I really love my suburban; it's comfortable, has lots of power, is great on long trips and will seat 4 adults and 3 kids in comfort. the flex fuel option of this engine isn't great because although E85 gas is usually 40c cheaper than regular, the mileage is at least 2-3 mpg lower.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great family vehicle, tons of room for kids and all the associated "stuff".

Cons: Like all big vehicles, gas mileage isnt as high as I'd like.

Lots Of Utility, Not Much Sport — Good gas mileage for such a huge vehicle - has cylinder deactivation - 8 cyl to 4 cyl that really does make a difference. Very quiet inside. Hauls all our stuff. Great sound and video system. Much better interior materials than last Suburban. Power rear door is very cool. The ultimate road trip vehicle.

Pros: Smooth over everything

Cons: FM Radio Sucks.

Great Large Family Hauler — We loved our 2002 Burb but the new 2007 is such a luxurious improvement. The ride is awsome and comfort is the best. There are a few annoying things about this model. For starters if you have several kids in carseats be aware that the LATCH positions in the 2nd row are center and passenger side, blocking the fold down access to the 3rd row!(and only 1 LATCH spot in the 3rd seat) There is no longer a cargo net and it is not avaiable after market either. The rear entertainment screen is low and blocks the drivers rear view in a big way and if the kids are watching a movie Mom can't play a CD! (bad design) I could have saved money and had a better system by going for aftermarket entertainment. The visors have been altered and are nowonly one piece so sun is not blocked as well as on older models. I hink they have forgotten that mostly LARGE families buy these things and we need more options in both back rows. (Heck many kids are in car seats to 80 pounds now!)

Miles Driven per Year:20,000

Pros: Comfortable, handles like a dream

Cons: Bad child seat LATCH positions, no cargo net, lame rear seat entertainment system

Lots Of Interior — Incredibly noisy inside. Creaking sounds are constantly coming from all doors. Had it in the shop for two days to fix a jiggling/loose seat, all the creaks, squeaky brakes, and front passenger door (it often sticks and won't open--you have to press the unlock button a few times to finally get the door to open.) So far, the jiggling seat is fixed, but there are still loads of creaks from poor quality weather stripping or just movement in doors. Also, breaks still squeak, and front passenger door is still sticking. I think the dealer tried, but the car is just not that great! I had an '04 Yukon Denali which was much better. I opted for the '07 Suburban LTZ because I think its exterior is much better looking than the '07 Denali. I wanted a new one mainly to get the curtain airbags throughout and the back row middle shoulder belt. I'm happy to have a safer vehicle, and I like the looks of the '07 LTZ, but overall quality has really been disappointing.
