Water Seal Leak Driver's Side Door And Crinkling/popping Wind Noise On Passenger Side Windshield Panel — I bought a 2007 silverado LTZ71 that I absolutely love, except when I'm on the highway at or above 60 mph with some windy conditions. Something must be wrong with the windshield or its seal. The strangest crinkling/popping noise emanates from the windshield where it meets the passenger side steel stube coming from the roof. It's worse in the wind, but it's enough to drive me crazy riding down the ride. I become obsessed with it and it makes me more mad with every mile I drive until I want to drive the damn thing off a cliff.

Poor Mpg, Rattles, Fuse Box Full Of Snow, Wont Stop On Snow — For a truck thats suppost tobe so good, it an't, gets the same milage as my old 87 4x4 that had a 3 speed and modified 355, 25 liters per 100 kms, should be 10, rattles in the roof windshield like many othes i see, the heater quit working ,then started again, the dealer wouldn't even look at it, already replaced front diff - broke in half

Disappointed — making a loud grinding noise between 40 and 45 mph. its very frustrating to have a truck with 500 miles making this noise and they cant figure out what it is. im about to ask for a new truck. it also has the wind noise which i knew about when i bought it. they all have it.

Pros: looks and rides great

Cons: air noise and grinding noise at 45 mph

Worse Gas Mileage, Strange Whistling Noise, Rattly Driver's Door — I was told by even my Chevy mechanic that this new style Silverado was built solid, and I love the new look, but that's about all I can say good so far. I only have around 1300 miles now, but gas mileage is worse than the '06 Silverado I traded in, about 17.5 versus 20. I took a longer highway trip yesterday and averaged 15.9 pathetic mpg. I also have a strange high pitched whistling noise coming from somewhere, and was told it has to do with the accellerator? I've noticed a slight rattle or crackle in the drivers door, but it tends to come and go. Love the look inside and out but I personally find a couple of the gauges a little hard to see at times. It seems like the gas gauge could have been tilted in a little more towards the driver. Overall interior seems a little nicer than the '06, and the extra electronic features are neat. Overall, I would have looked at other trucks or stuck with my '06 had I known.

Pros: New styling inside and out, nice display options and electronics with right option packages

Cons: Worse MPG, still questionable fit and finish, wierd noises as usual. How bad were the other trucks for this one to win "Truck of the Year"?

Steering And Suspension Was Deplorable — On test drive there was a vibration between 45 to 55 MPH. Then we hit a little small broken pavement in the road and the truck jumps all over the place!

Pros: Truck sits low and is easy to get in and out of it, looks good.

Cons: Gas mileage is a joke if not an out right lie. BAD MPG, BAD Ride.

Overall A Good Truck, Looks Good, Strong Engine — Love the truck, except for 2 things, the interior noise that the dealership can't pinpoint, and they delay from V4 to V8 when you stomp on the gas pedal. Other than that the truck is great, looks alot better than the previos silverado.

Rides Nice, Wind Noise Horrible — I bought my truck and fell in love but then started to hear the wind in my ears. My drivers door always sounds like the windows is down. I took the truck in and they did some adjustments so they say. Now I have a whistling noise coming from the front of the truck so i'm not too happy

Just Bought The V6 — Truck is very appealing visually. The exterior is great, I even like the silver birch metallic color, it matches my Harley. Driving the truck, which I purchased yesterday, is fun..traded an 05 Jeep Cherokee and forgot the pure fun of a pick up..some basic instinct finds it appealing. I got the W/T w/V6..engine has adequate power for my needs and the package came with Cruise control, tilt steering, dual A/C and auto headlights for under 19,000..hard to beat the deal. the truck drives nice so far, haven't owned a Chevy in years but look forward to this..the dealer gave me a good deal on the Cherokee, which I was seriously upside down in. Anyway, I only have 180 miles on the truck but all is well so far..the interior is a little plain but, after all, it is a work truck. Fit and finish on the exterior is good quality, however, some of the materials used on the interior (plastic knobs) feel like Chevy could have done better.
