The HHR 1LT comes equipped with everything found in the base LS, plus an eight-way power driver seat, an audio system upgrade with MP3 compatibility and alloy wheels. More options also become available at this level. The LS's 2.2 liter engine can be swapped for a 2.4 liter unit, which makes 175 horsepower and provides 165 pound-feet of torque.

This model is set apart from others by its unique exterior and interior design. On this HHR, the second and third row windows have been replaced with solid body color panels. The rear doors are still there, but the handles are gone, and drivers can only open them with the push of a button on the dash. Inside, the rear seats are absent, in favor of additional cargo space. As a result, owners get 57 cubic feet of cargo space plus an additional six cubic feet in underfloor plastic bins. The Panel truck comes with all the LT equipment, and is powered by the 2.2 liter engine.

This limited production HHR will feature all of the standard items found with the 2LT trim, plus several appearance enhancements. This HHR gets a special all-black finish, with black chrome trim for the wheels, door handles and grille. Only 4000 units will be available.
