Cobalt Ss — When I was looking for a new car, I wanted to try out a Cobalt SS to see what it did for me. I got to drive an automatic Cobalt SS, and it was decent. I'm sure the car would of felt a bit faster with a manual tranny, but I was just looking at cars and I had all summer to choose.

Pros: Fun little car; Peppy; Made in USA Yea; Good MPG

Cons: Out of my budget range; Was looking for a bigger engine

Good Gas Effecient Car — i have hd my car for one year now, i have always liked the style of the cobalt, and the fact that they are good on gas is a plus, i have not driven it very far, only to lima, ohio. the thing i enjoy most about my car is that it is the perfect size for me, it's small and i love it, the one thing i would like to improve on my car are the wheels, i would like to put 18' wheels on it and get a set of nice rims.

Pros: small, great on gas, stylish, great sound, loooks great

Cons: is eally small, hard to get kids in and out with havinf only two doors

Great Little Sports Car, But A Lot Of Room For Improvement! —

The 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS SC is a quick, stylish little sports car. Maybe not suited for an older demographic, but sure tailored for the interests of the younger drivers, speaking as one of them! The 2.0L DOHC ECOTEC four-cylinder engine comes with an Eaton Supercharger providing an extra boost with a great transition when it kicks in unlike the lag of a turbocharger. The Cobalt is quick, and the clutch and short-throw shifter have a very smooth, close-coupled action with well-spaced gears. With a very wide torque band, excessive shifting is certainly not necessary, and there is little need to get up into fifth except on the highways. Handling is superb on the Cobalt with stiffer springs, tuned shocks and a larger anti-roll bar, allowing it to focus on the sharp turns without either the front or rear wheels going wide! The performance on this car is great but still could be improved with Chevy definitely leaving room open for modifications. The exterior is simple, yet very sleek and with the addition of the huge rear spoiler wing, surely does not make this car look boring! Riding on 18" Pirelli PZero Rosso performance tires and high polished alloy wheels gives the Cobalt a good grip on the road with the added style. On the inside, the Cobalt is fitted together fairly well! There's plenty of leg room up front, however the rear seating is cramped. But I don't sit in the back so who cares! Even so, all seats are very comfortable! The nicely designed Recaro bucket seats hold the driver and passenger in place on sharp turns and are comfortable enough for long treks. As for the controls, luckily Chevrolet improved the Cobalt by giving the 2007 version a redesigned center console, which provided a better setup and look. The steering wheel was also redone to give a more comfortable feel when driving. The SS comes with a 7-speaker premium Pioneer sound system with amplified tweeters and rear subwoofer, that delivers awesome quality and sound when listening to music! A lot of trunk space for a small car, but small opening. Rounding off the interior, Chevrolet gave the SS a nice little touch by including a boost gauge! With reasonable fuel economy and being well priced the Cobalt SS SC certainly provides a lot of enjoyment behind the wheel!

Pros: Lots of torque, Good handling, Excellent style, Awesome sound system, Good performance with tons of room for improvement through mods

Cons: Crammed rear seating, small trunk opening, Hard plastic dash, Spoiler blocking rear view, not the greatest for winter driving (but i manage)

Not Necessarily Better Than A Cavalier. — I spent about two weeks with a Cobalt LS four door as my Neon was in getting some suspension work done. Oddly enough, the interior is slightly different than the Pontiac G5 coupe which I also had a taste of, just enough so to give my impression of the Cobalt slightly better than that of the G5. The seats, for one, are more comfortable. However, the controls are still in odd places. The stereo system isn't much to write home about, and the buzzy ecotec engine does not deliver much performance, although the car is good on gas. This car is about saving money: it's cheap to purchase, cheap to operate, and cheap to maintain for the life of the warranty, and then one would be smart to get rid of it. But for the same sticker price, I'd much rather buy an upscale Nissan or Toyota, or even a Focus or Neon.

Pros: Good gas mileage, economical.

Cons: Poor engine, braking and handling, odd interior ergonomics, archaic chassis design.

Completely Delighted With My 2007 Ss Supercharged — Black exterior, completely black interior. Didn't spring for the Quaife differential and I probably should have. Alberta car with 12,000 kms since August. Minor problem (faulty ground) during 1st week of driving, kept stalling. Dealer fixed under warranty, fault-free since then. Handles so nicely and so much fun to drive. Good low end torque rounded out by lots of top end.

Owner for 0 years, 6 months

Miles Driven per Year:16,000

Pros: superb styling, excellent handling/FE5 suspension, GREAT stereo, looks so sharp, sounds nice too

Cons: Does not come standard with a block heater and I live in Canada

Nice Car In And Out. — It was a pretty nice car. fast and energetic. deffinately a young person car with enough power thanks to the factory tuning and super charger and teh drive was fun thanks to the 5 spd manual tranny. there was more then enough room in the front for a friend but in the bac it got a bit 'squishy'. while driving it was difficult to c out the rear window as from the inside it is very small.

Pros: fast acceleration and good looks. 4 cyl fuel economy.

Cons: rear window was to small to see out of and the factory stereo could have been better.

Great Gas Milage And A Car With Balls, When Needed — Small class vehicle with a 2.2 L motor and it gets 33 miles per gallons max. 2 door with the complete sport package and 15" rims.

Pros: Gas mileage, Solid motor, ride and handling nice, good acceleration

Cons: Limited space. Back end of car sits high so the back window can be hard to see out of. Like all small cars handling in the winter is a little iffy.

Zoom Zoom. — Fast as hell, stick is a must. SS model is gorgeous with the stiffer suspension and the slightly larger engine.

Pros: Customizable, quick, easy on gas.

Cons: Chevy needs to fit the big man!
