Juan Montoya's Family Car! — braking is weird, active steering makes it a superb model. overall is another great ultimate driving machine..

Pros: roomy!

Cons: not as powerful as a M6 for the same engine display

Buy It — Fantastic all rounder. Build quality is great, performance is brilliant 5 liter V10 8350RPM redline enough said. The single clutch gearbox feels like BMW has done the most un-German thing possible; Cutting Corners. Its dimwitted and jerky in slow city driving and very uncomfortable. other than that it feels like car half its size. Styling is a bit too serious for me but hey they're German. Cost of ownership is astronomical ($300 oil changes) and you will struggle to do better than 18mpg hwy. Other than the gearbox and gas mileage its the most fun you can have with 4 doors.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Speed and practicality. That engine is just the business.

Cons: After 11 Months of ownership, I can still report that SMG III is still rubbish. $255 for an oil service is a bit much and 10.5 average MPG is kind of a buzz kill. Someone was right when they said; Its like a 2 year old child. Its really annoying some of the time but if anyone tried to take it away from you, You'd kill em. I couldn't be happier.

Joseph says:
Great driving experience with tons of horsepower especially on straight road. SMGIII could be problematic as a high maintenance item but the shift experience was fantastic and RAW. For those who enjoy driving stick shift, SMGIII single clutch sequential manual gearbox gives you the closest manual transmission experience ever...handsdown.
