Great Daily Driver — I would recommend the 5-series to anyone looking for a good value in a luxury car. The ride, handling and looks beat all the Japanese luxury models in my opinion. The reliability has been fantastic. Maintenance costs are higher because BMW dealers overcharge.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great looks, very comfortable, great leg room in the back seat.  Very comfortable, sporty and good sound system from the factory.  Bluetooth, aux-in, automatic wipers.

Cons: Aux-in in the back seat for some reason.  The repairs and maintenance are more costly than an american car.

The Perfect Family Sports Sedan — I am amazes by my longevity with this car. I have been a life-long "car trader" with over 65 cars in my history. I have 100,000 miles on this BMW and would not consider selling. I have had 12 BMWs and this is my favorite by far.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Styling, performance, fuel economy (32 on the highway and 27 lifetime...)

Cons: after many years, still not a fan of the control knob...Navigation is weak as well.

Awesome — The BMW 5 series is comfortable, spaceous, fully featured, relaxing, and reliable. Everyone needs to drive one of these in their life. Opt for the lumbar and cold weather package and you will never be disappointed. Ultimate Driving Machine indeed.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Awesome fully features comfortable vehicle

Cons: none

I Will Buy Another Bmw One Day For Sure! — I love the look and the handling in traffic. With the tinted windows you have plenty of privacy and the rear controllable shades add more comfort for rear seat passengers. This is a great car that has class and is not ultra expensive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Solid Power and handling with great style. Very comfortable for a family of four.

Cons: BMW has a slightly "harder" ride than a mercedes. It is more sporty.

Very Sporty — BMW has always been known to be European performance automobiles. Handling is precise with a well connected feel to the road. My 530i has tight steering with excellent turning capabilities from the taut suspension and steering ratio. I cannot believe that I am getting such good gas mileage but it seems its near 30mpg on the freeway and 23mpg combined.

Black Bimmer — Best car I have ever owned... durability, performance and handling are hard to beat with this or any BMW... The exterior and interior are still in showroom condition even after 106k miles... I drive 60 miles roundtrip 5 days a week to work... and have never been disappointed with the feel and performance of this great BMW...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great drivability, cool style, good performance with good mpg...

Cons: Maintenance costs...

550i+sports=only Way To Drive — This is the legendary 5 series - with a V8. And with the Sports package. Nothing compares to it in this class. If you have not driven one then do yourself a favor and check this out. It will put a smile on your face.

Pros: A pocket rocket.

Cons: So much fun it's evil

Great Sports Sedan — The car handles great and cruises down the highway without any effort. Drove it to Florida and back with plenty of room for all. The ski pass through allows for transporting of the family ski gear without compromising the look or handling with a roof top rack.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sweet looking sedan. Fast and handles like a sports car

Cons: The drivers seat hugs a little to tight for my legs(I have large thighs)

Conservative Yet Sporty — I love the look, power and fuel efficiency of this vehicle. It could be classy yet sporty at the same time. The gas mileage was great for long trips with plenty of trunk space for luggage. Overall this is a great car for all ages.

Pros: Looks great, fuel efficient, and great family car

Cons: Maintenance cost is slightly higher.

Dream Come True — I liked - Pick up (it is just amazing normally and sport mode is just untouchable) - Luxury (driver and passenger seats have been designed very well as to make you feel comfortable but not forgetting about giving some driving experience - The passenger side mirror tilts and assists the driver for parallel parking which is a great thing specially in California where parallel parking is highly used.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: At the very first look you can see that it is very stylish and great power. Has 255hp and the sport package adds another 20hp. Courtesy lighting is cool with path lighting and mirrors assisting parallel parking. This definitely is a dream car for many.

Cons: The back seat may use a little more leg room. Price and maintenance cost is high
