With quattro all-wheel drive, it is also versatile, and features up to 72 cubic feet of cargo space. The 20007 Q7 4.2 quattro comes standard with three rows of seat for seven passengers. Both second and third rows fold flat and the second row also reclines. A 32-valve, 4.2-liter, 350-hp DOHC V8 powers this crossover, matched to a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission. A limited slip differential helps with handling. Hill Descent Control, traction and stability, ABS brakes, xenon headlights, mirror turn signals, dual front-side and all-row head airbags, a tire monitor, rain-sensing wipers, and dusk-sensing headlights are a few standard safety features. Rear side airbags are optional.

The 2007 Q7 4.2 quattro upgrades the 3.6 quattro with a trip computer, sunshades, folding mirrors, garage opener, electrochromatic rearview mirror, 2-driver memory settings, and Bluetooth. The 2007 Q7 4.2 Premium adds a rearview camera and parking assist to the mix.

Both the front and second row in the 4.2 quattro Premium are reclining bucket seats (replacing the 2nd row bench in the regular 4.2), with a third row bench that split-folds flat. Upgrades in this trim include premium leather seats, remote start, a sunroof, a cooler, four-zone climate control, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and a navigation system -- basically everything that's an option on the other trims. This is in addition to the power features, power front seats, retractable mirrors, trip computer, leather and wood trim, and memory settings.
