Fun Car To Drive, Gas And Family Friendly, Plenty Of Get Up And Go! — I liked this car for the fact that out of small engine it has lots of power. You can feel the turbo kick in and it's a fun feeling. There is a six speed automatic. It has a great tiptronic manual shift mode. The gauges and instrument panel is a cool red and blue color. I was able to set the stereo to match this theme. The leather seats are comfortable and have held up very well. All four windows roll all the way down and all the way up with a single click of the switch. There are two vents for the people in the back of the car to adjust the air that they get or close the vents. For a basic type of car, there are a lot of luxury features in this car that sets it apart from the everyday sedan.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Has plenty of power for a 4 cylinder turbo. Runs smooth and suspension rides very comfortably. The cargo capacity is very spacious and the rear seats fold down to allow for longer items to be transported. Excellent gas mileage in town and on the highway. Stereo is great and has been upgraded to a pioneer dvd unit.

Cons: Door lock and window switches have defective factory paint that peels. Not a fan of the SMART key. Have to use VAG-COM to reset electronic parking brake

2006 Vw Passat, Now With Over 125k — Is it worth it to you to have a sedan that is more crisp, responsive and fun to drive than a boring accord or Camry, but more expensive? You also need a local, reliable mechanic. If so, it's worth it, you just have to know what to expect with a vw (my 3rd).

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Handling, road feel, steering, comfort, decent road noise, looks good inside and out, mileage, the "pleather" is great (was surprised about that)

Cons: It's a vw, so it's expensive to fix and maintain, and while the engine is adequate power-wise, it rattles now (over100k).  I've had more than one person recently ask me if it was a diesel - - not good.

Balanced In Every Way — I liked the fact that in three years I've taken it from 94,000 to 184,000 miles and it still handles awesomely. The mileage I get is amazing. I can go between 400 and 450 miles a tank, depending on the amount of freeway driving I do. I think the lowest I ever got was around 375, and that was all l.a. city gridlock driving.

Pros: I love this car! It's a trooper! This thing has passed my auto-onslaught with flying colors.

Cons: Having to let it go...

Vw — Fun car to drive and plenty of room for the family. Sneaky fast for a family sedan. Bad, the 3.6 only came in automatic - even with paddle shifters it's not the same experience as a manual. I will upgrade soon. :)

Pros: Adaptive headlights and Dynaudio.

Cons: Only available in automatic.

If You Need An Estate, Its This Or An A4 For Me. Couldnt Justify Paying More For The Audi Though. — Not a bad motor, got it for the dog really as its huge. Pretty nippy for a big ole barge, a bit wallowy in corners because of the comfy suspension, not bad on juice considering the weight of the thing, I average 39mpg in stop start traffic.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: If you need space, but still want something a bit pokey

Cons: Have a couple of common issues

Why Buy Anything Other Than A Volk. — I have been driving my 2006 VW Passat for just about 6 months now, and the only way I can describe it is as the best car I have ever driven. Now, obviously this is slightly biased since I haven't driven every car in the world. That being said, I like the look of the car, the perfomance, and the overall idea of driving a Volkswagen. The car has great get up and go, I think the turbo may have something to do with that, while at the same time it doesn't guzzle gas. I think I may have gotten one of the fabled "Blue Moon" models, since I am able to get approximately 40-50 MPG on the highway, and on a good day about 30-40 on the streets. The interior is awesome, leather everywhere, heated seats, XM Radio, but I did have the problem of the labels peeling off, kind of a drag, however, the dealer fixed that. Great car, I don't think I will ever buy another car unless its a Volk/ Audi.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's awesome

Cons: The labels peeled on the interior

Best Car Review... — Great handling and 6.1 seconds to 100 km/h. No repairs except for the front windscreen. Very good looking car, metal-golden and great interiors. Extremely fun to drive and has made many very stunned and surprised. This car is recommended for everyone who likes power.

Pros: It's just very powerful and very good looking.

Cons: I can't say anything bad about this car.
